Founded in 1728, Llanbedr Church in Wales School is a thriving Primary School set in idyllic surroundings in the heart of the Black Mountains. The School is dedicated to educating the whole child within a caring Christian community and supporting each child in learning and developing their confidence and potential. Personal and social education is regarded as a critical base to enabling each child’s awareness for a healthy responsible lifestyle. The School boasts excellent facilities, within a positive and secure family environment, where friendliness and enthusiasm are always evident amongst staff, children, and parents alike.
It is our aim for all pupils to leave the school proud of their success and with the necessary skills knowledge and attitude to maximize their future opportunities. The school aims to provide a happy, caring, and stimulating environment. Governors, parents, staff, and pupils have high standards. Every child will be treated as an individual, given the tools to be a lifelong learner, and taught to be independent and function as a member of a group.
Our school is set in beautiful surroundings which enables us to enhance learning by spending time outdoors, investigating and problem solving, as well as exciting and interesting lessons within the classroom. Our recently purchased iPads and up-dates of hard and software are also playing a part in preparing the children for life in the 21st Century.
Llanbedr staff, parents, governors, and our proactive Friends of the School are all part of a friendly team who aims to give the best possible opportunities and experiences to the children. We aim to give our children the skills to prepare them for lifelong learning. We value children’s ideas and opinions and ensure they play a part in the choices we make about developing the school further, including the school environment and their learning.
