Welcome to Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School. We are a one-form entry, a voluntary aided school in Garston, Liverpool for children from 3-11.

At Holy Trinity School we care about the children and each other. We aim to provide for the spiritual, emotional, physical, mental, and social development of every child. We expect everyone including staff, children, and parents to aim for excellence.

We believe that we can offer all pupils a wide range of academic and extra-curricular activities which will enhance their educational and social development. We hope that your child will be very happy at Holy Trinity and embrace all the opportunities we have to offer.

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning and provide an environment that prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

From September 2014 we introduced the new National Curriculum to all of our pupils in Years 1, 3, 4, and 5. From September 2015, all pupils, including those in Years 2 and 6 have been taught from the new curriculum, in all areas of the curriculum.

At Holy Trinity, we offer a broad, balanced, exciting, and imaginative curriculum that develops the skills, concepts, and knowledge necessary for future learning. Our curriculum is underpinned by the programs of study in the National Curriculum and is provided through a series of planned units of work which are created and implemented by our team of teaching staff.

The aims of our school curriculum are: to provide all pupils with learning opportunities which enable them to fulfill and exceed their potential. To encourage pupils to become confident, competent learners and to develop skills and acquire attitudes that equip them to become lifelong learners. To enable pupils to discover and develop their interests and abilities through curricular and extracurricular activities. To provide experiences that create a joy of learning in an environment that stimulates inquiry, creativity, discovery, and exploration. To promote the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of all pupils at our school and society. To help pupils understand Britain’s cultural heritage. To provide a stable, consistent environment in which pupils can develop respect, self-esteem, and an ability to value themselves and celebrate their and others' achievements. To enable pupils to understand the importance of truth and fairness, so that they grow up committed to equal opportunities for all. To fulfill all the requirements of the new National Curriculum and the Locally Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education.

At Holy Trinity, these British core values are taught within RE, SEAL, PSHE, and collective worship. We also teach British Values through planning and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum. These values are reinforced regularly:

• Mutual Respect
• Acceptance of Those of Different Faiths and Beliefs

Within school, pupils are actively encouraged to make choices, knowing that they are in a safe and supportive environment. As a school, we educate and provide boundaries for young pupils to make choices safely, through the provision of a safe environment and planned curriculum. Pupils are encouraged to know, understand and exercise their rights and personal freedoms and are advised how to exercise these safely, for example through our E-Safety teaching, SEAL, and PSHE lessons. Pupils are given the freedom to make choices, e.g. signing up for extra-curricular clubs, volunteering to be playground buddies, or prefects.

Mutual respect is at the heart of our values and our school ‘Mission Statement’. Children learn that their behaviors affect their rights and those of others. Collective Worship is based on ‘Christian Values’ which are central to how we expect everyone to go about their life at our school.

Holy Trinity values the diverse ethnic backgrounds of all pupils and families and undertakes a variety of events and lessons to celebrate this. We have found this approach to be enriching for all parties as it teaches acceptance and respect for the differences in our community and the wider world.
