Green Street Green Primary School is a place where we aim to create passionate and successful lifelong learners equipped for their future journey. This will be achieved by having an inspirational, dedicated, and skillful team of staff and governors.

By providing an engaging and creative curriculum that excites our children, and by promoting excellent behavior through our Golden Rules, we aim to enthuse in all our children a desire to learn, as well as care for and respect each other.

The link between home and school is integral to your child’s success and we encourage parents to take an active part in their child's learning. We see parents as partners in the education of their children, and greatly value their contribution to school life. Children thrive when they feel happy, safe, and respected. Whatever the needs of your child or special interests they have, we aim to ensure your child thrives at Green Street Green Primary School. We want the children here to have memorable experiences, build on what they know and can do, and help them to become confident, life-long learners.

We are one of two Specialist Speech and Language provisions in Bromley, for children who have Speech and Language Disorder. The other is located at Raglan Primary School.

We have been in existence for over twenty years, during which time 168 children have been through our doors. We are very successful at returning pupils to mainstream schools, often after as little as two years. That is why we like to call ourselves an “Intervention” rather than a “Placement”.

Our vision statement was devised following input for children, staff, parents, and governors. It summarises what Green Street Green Primary is about.

Our values are what we feel are important to deliver our vision. These are our four ‘E’s: Encourage, Excite, Experience, Excel.

Successful learning is about exciting interests, giving children a wide variety of experiences, providing encouragement to face any challenge, and the opportunity to excel in all areas.

In the entrance hall of our school is our values tree which will give you examples of how our values are put into practice across the school.

At Green Street Green Primary school we are extremely proud of our children's achievement. High Expectations and staff who are all dedicated to providing a stimulating, exciting environment where everyone feels valued and can learn, ensures that our children achieve well.

• Children’s Language will be within the expected range in most aspects.
• The barrier to learning will be overcome so that children can access classroom learning with moderate support.
• Children will leave Green Street Green Speech and Language Disorder Classes:
• Children can use strategies independently to help them cope with their speech, language, and communication needs and be able to communicate effectively.
• Children’s self-esteem will be raised and they will be confident in socializing both in and out of school.

We aim to provide an exciting, multi-sensory, language-rich environment where children can experience the curriculum through a range of different practical activities. We use a ‘topic-based approach to many subject areas to enhance this, basing each topic around our Talk For Writing Books.

We offer small group, specialist teaching, and intensive speech and language therapy within lessons and also as group work. We have four part-time teachers and a similar number of Specialist Support Assistants. The teamwork collaboratively with the children so that each child benefits from a range of different teaching styles and approaches to the curriculum. Children will be taught by all members of staff at some stage during each week.
