We offer you a very warm welcome to Archbishop Blanch School. Archbishop Blanch is the only Church of England girls' school in the city and offers all students a dynamic place to learn in a caring, Christian way.

Our Christian ethos permeates through everything we do, underpinned by our Christian values. Archbishop Blanch is a happy school our students are keen to learn, are respectful, and develop into well-rounded individuals. They are supported by creative teaching using the latest technologies to enhance their learning, alongside a strong pastoral support system. We are a Church of England High School for girls in Years 7 - 11, with a mixed Sixth Form, serving the Diocese of Liverpool, and our Christian values of Community, Compassion, Forgiveness, Friendship, Thanksgiving, and Trust permeate every aspect of our life together.

We aim to develop in our pupils a love of God, an understanding of and respect for the faith and traditions of others, and a real and abiding belief in their value and self-worth.

Archbishop Blanch has a successful sixth form which offers an excellent choice of subjects to both boys and girls.

Our experienced sixth form team offers both academic rigors, complemented by our supportive pastoral care which together produces outstanding results.

Our new and exciting sixth form offers its own unique, facilities including Study Centre, Dedicated Careers Advisor, Study Support Team, and Social Area

At Archbishop Blanch School the Sixth Form Centre is self-contained within the main body of the school, but with its separate entrance. We pride ourselves on the facilities available to our Sixth Form students who have chosen to enroll at Archbishop Blanch with the single aim of achieving their learning goals.

We feel our center is an ideal environment for our students to carry out independent learning and gain invaluable support for their future studies and career goals.

Students are asked to complete 100 hours of enrichment over the two years they spend in the Sixth Form. Enrichment can come in many forms it can be a hobby, sport, volunteering work, and/or work experience.

Here at Archbishop Blanch Sixth Form, we aim to develop the whole person. Taking part in enrichment activities develops skills that prepare a student for life and the world of work. It can make a huge difference to a student’s employability prospects.

Students can carry out work experience every week (timetable allowing) and all Year 12 students carry out a block work experience at the end of the academic year. The work experience block is a fantastic chance to gain those all-important employability skills. Students chose placements that are relevant to their chosen university course or field of work.
