Polsko-Japońska Wyższa Szkoła Technik Komputerowych (PJWSTK) was founded in 1994 by the Foundation for the Development of Information Technology, which implemented an agreement between the governments of Poland and Japan in 1993.
The Career Development Office assists students and graduates in finding them a suitable place in the labor market. On behalf of employers, the office helps with the recruitment and candidate selection processes for the offered positions, organizes presentations led by the companies on campus, and provides information about summer job opportunities abroad. Moreover, the office arranges workshops and training in career development, preparing application documents, self-presentation, and meetings with career advisors.
At PJWSTK, the first Japanese exam in NŌRYOKU-SHIKEN in Poland took place. The university has become the official testing center, the only one in Central and Eastern Europe, which enables obtaining a worldwide certificate of the Japanese language. In the same year, Prometric Testing Center was launched - the only center in Poland that allows TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, and PMI examinations via the Internet. PJWSTK signed a cooperation agreement with the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, under which PJWSTK created a new department - New Media Arts.
PJWSTK was granted the right to conduct undergraduate studies in cultural studies and launched the Department of Japanese Culture. Also in 2007, the academy received a grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to launch the Academic Entrepreneurship Incubator. This incubator also won the competition of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education to support incubators of "Innovation Wizard. Support for innovative academic entrepreneurship. "
