ENS Rennes is situated on the wooded grounds of Ker Lann campus in the municipality of Bruz, on Rennes' outskirts. The École Normale Supérieure de Rennes (ENS Rennes) is a prestigious public institution of higher education. Research and one of the major French Grandes Ecoles considered being the pinnacle of French higher education. It educates students, through high-level scientific and cultural training, who aspire to a career in fundamental or applied scientific research, university teaching and teaching the preparatory classes for the grandes écoles, in secondary education and more generally, for working for state and local authorities and the State's public establishments or enterprises.
ENS Rennes trains students in the fields of Economics - Law - Management, Computer Science and Telecommunications, Mathematics, Mechatronics and Sport Sciences, and Physical Education. Each year, around 400 students follow Master's Degree programs jointly accredited with the Université de Rennes 1 and Université Rennes 2.
