EduCativPosted August 8, 2020SharePosted August 8, 2020 SBS is a management institution dedicated to preparing students for the careers of the global economy. We offer programs that specialize in International Management, Finance, Marketing, and other fields. We teach the state of the art theory, immerse students in international experiences, and connect them to best practice in business. Participants in our programs learn much more than management theory and practice. They acquire new ways of thinking that can profoundly change their lives and the success of their organization. All of our educational programs are taught in English. Created with your busy schedule in mind, our programs make it possible to study and keep your job at the same time. Our degrees are conveniently accessible to you at any time, no matter what your schedule is. Our tuition fees reflect real value for money; they include all teaching materials and books. We are genuinely focused on the world. From a unique introductory course in the undergraduate program to an advanced course in the Doctor of Business Administration program, the SBS experience is thoroughly international. More than half of our students come from Europe, Asia, and Latin America. We offer our participants an experience that prepares them to operate with ease across borders and cultures - in an environment that prizes diversity and brings a worldwide perspective to the study of business. The International Assembly double accredits us for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), both US full accreditation bodies recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). National accreditation is the highest form of accreditation that an institution can receive. The IACBE has praised SBS as an innovator in business education.SBS is also certified by Educa, the Swiss Quality Assurance certification for Higher Education. eduQua considers several criteria to assure the institution's quality and is reviewed on a three-year basis. SBS Swiss Business School is connected to the world of business through its teaching, faculty, events, and placement network. Business leaders often visit the School to talk with students or teach education courses, providing students the opportunity to learn about state-of-the-art business practices. Companies interested in forging new links are invited to contact our Placement Office. Classes often use current business problems as their subject matter. Students consult experts and participants in their decision-making and present their conclusions to the company's senior managers. Through such "live" case studies, they track issues as they develop over time, and benefit from learning how to apply knowledge to the latest developments of the global economy. Ultimately the most reliable connections to business are through our network of employer contacts. SBS has an enviable record of placing its graduates with leading companies and institutions across the globe. Several employers visit the School each year to identify suitable graduates to fill positions in their companies. Our Placement Office maintains a regular dialogue with potential employers and is ready to welcome them to the campus. SBS Swiss Business School recognizes the importance of accountability and continuous improvement. The office monitors the academy's quality and progress towards the goals outlined in the strategic plan. We gather and analyze the data, distribute the information to all stakeholders, and facilitate and advise on the assessment process. The material used can be internally generated or is derived from external sources. Also, the measures can be designated as direct or indirect. The office is involved in survey research, instructor evaluations, enrollment analysis, benchmarking, auditing, and reporting. SBS Swiss Business School is dedicated to foster academic excellence and student achievement on the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels in business management. Its mission is to provide students with a robust academic foundation using andrological learning to develop problem-solving skills and, with access to various specialized knowledge bases, to prepare them to become productive, competent professionals and responsible citizens in a diverse, dynamic global environment. It defines higher education from its beginning as the experience of thinking internationally. To do this, it maintains a multi-cultural student body on its home campus along with its international centers. For SBS, the international component is of paramount importance. It is designed to accommodate significant changes in the curriculum and variations in the student body in response to global shifts in social, political, and economic conditions. The result is a singular learning experience gained from a cross-cultural, highly European, international perspective. In addition to its cross-cultural intent, it provides students with an interactive educational environment with a dynamic mix of innovative and traditional strategies. We foster enhanced teaching, professional development, and service. SBS Swiss Business School aims to become Switzerland's leading Business School, recognized for its innovative contributions to business and management, and its accomplished and dedicated faculty in a multi-national-cultural environment. The Board of Trustees selects and evaluates the SBS Honorary President and adopts strategic policies, priorities, and plans to direct the institution's operation. The Board does not make specific operational decisions or approve operational rules. These decisions are made by the SBS Honorary President and those to whom he or she delegates authority. Specific complaints or grievances are handled by the SBS Honorary President, not the Board. The Board develops the institution's fundamental priorities. Long-term goals and priorities are stated in Board Policy, and the Board reviews and approves the plans to achieve them in the annual budget and the annual review and adjustments of the Strategic Plan. In addition to the "what to do" priorities, Board policy also specifies a set of "what "not to do priorities in areas such as purchasing and employee relations.View full universityQuoteLink to commentShare on other sitesMore sharing options...
