The IUBH is one of Germany's leading private Universities of Applied Sciences. With our IUBH Campus Studies, we prepare students for international careers in business and management at our three campus locations: Bad Honnef, Bad Reichenhall, and Berlin. Our programs focus on management. At the bachelor level, we offer Aviation, Event, International, Hospitality, as well as Tourism Management and Marketing Management. At the master level, we provide International Management with various specializations, Transport & Logistics Management, and an MBA in International Business. The heart of the IUBH is its uncompromising international focus:

  • All courses in English
  • Students and professors from more than 100 nations
  • The optional second foreign language during your studies, e.g., Spanish, French, Chinese, Russian, or Arabic
  • Integrated, six-month internship, also abroad.
  • Study at a partner university abroad for one year and obtain a double degree (in Germany and abroad)

IUBH makes it easy to start a career straight out of university: the courses teach valuable skills, the professors have years of practical and professional experience, and fellow students from all over the world allow me to build my global network. Whether in a medium-sized company operating at an international level or in a multinational group abroad – the IUBH offers ideal preparation for the global job market:

  • Approximately 75% of our graduates work in an international environment
  • Approximately 33% of them work abroad

Our professors and lecturers attach great importance to a close link between theory and practice. After all, most of them gained experience at the international level themselves – and would also like to pass this on, for example, through:

  • Case studies, projects, and internships
  • Field trips to well-known companies
  • Dialogues with recognized business leaders within the framework of regular IUBH Business Talks

The profile requirements of internationally employed managers have changed. We recognized this as the first private, state-recognized university operating exclusively in the service sector. With our attractive Bachelor's and Master's degree courses, we want to set new standards for the new generation of management. Our programs are characterized by the effective transfer of subject-specific knowledge and soft skills to prepare our graduates for a challenging management task. Studying at the IUBH makes careers in a global environment possible. We live out this credo because English is the teaching language and the language used on our campus. We also impart internationality with many other distinguishing features:

  • Our experts and faculty from around the world teach both technical know-how and soft skills
  • We maintain multiple collaborations with partner universities in Europe, America, Australia, and Asia
  • At the IUBH, languages in international demand are taught at advanced levels by native speakers, and additional intercultural communication competence is developed
  • There are currently students from over 85 countries on our campuses

At the IUBH, practical orientation is experienced firsthand. The curriculum has multiple facets that reflect this, for example, the inclusion of internship semesters, discussions, and lectures with experts from industry, and excursions to companies. The integration of theory and practice is a daily reality for every student. In the context of its lectures, the IUBH offers project work and case studies. Many of the benefits of studying at the IUBH are possible due to the close cooperation that the IUBH and its faculty maintain with the industry. Our faculty has contact with all DAX 30 companies, is recognized in the international market, and is well connected in a network with over 1.000 business partners. The results of our survey of graduates in 2015 speak for themselves: 87 percent of our graduates find a job within the first three months, and after two years, 80 percent already have management responsibilities.

These excellent results are based on the fact that we focus on training social and intercultural competence in addition to teaching professional expertise. When students go abroad with this knowledge, they can deal with intercultural challenges with much more ease. The short duration of the study program and studying in small learning groups is also advantageous for entering the professional world. These conditions are facilitative for exchange among students and proximity to faculty - essentials for effective learning. IUBH is proud of its graduates who can now look back on impressive careers. Their career paths are as varied as the job profiles of our degree programs.
