EduCativPosted November 22, 2020SharePosted November 22, 2020 The state-approved University of Art, Design, and Popular Music was created in 2011 through the merger of the Freie Hochschule für Grafik-Design & Bildende Kunst Freiburg (FHF) and the training courses of the Jazz & Rock Schulen Freiburg, and the International Music College Freiburg (IMCF). hKDM Freiburg offers five interlinked bachelor's degree courses: Visual Arts B.A. Integrated Design B.A. Popular Music B.A. International Program in Popular Music B.A. (Taught in English) Information Technology for Audiovisual Media B.A Due to the increasing links between the various media, the new university combines several disciplines under one roof – design, photography, gaming, sound, song-writing, painting, illustration, etc. This interdisciplinary approach and cross-subject creativity transfer in teaching, research, and elective projects provide our graduates with the perfect preparation for a continually changing career in our fast-moving, globalized world. Each lasting four years, the independent courses are based on practice, teach solid, subject-specific skills, and deliberately provide space for students to develop their creativity. Experienced professors and lecturers from Germany and abroad provide students with personal support and prepare them for a successful professional life. Cooperation with the media industry, galleries, art traders, artists, and the entire music industry means teaching staff and students alike have their fingers on the pulse. Teaching content is continuously being developed and adapted to the needs of the job market. This dynamic process ensures the success of our graduates in their later professional careers.
