Nhulunbuy Christian College is a co-educational Primary and Middle School (Transition – Year 10) of 200 students. The college has provided Christian education in Arnhem Land for over 15 years. Our facilities are new, our library a spectacular place for learning across all year levels, and our classrooms are well-resourced. Situated within a quiet corner of beautiful Nhulunbuy, surrounded by bush and sea views, we consider ourselves blessed.

NCC is committed to maintaining its family feel, and parents have many opportunities to be involved within the college community. This includes serving on the college council. We have a vibrant Parent and Friends group, and it is always great to see parents organize and assist with school events, help in the junior classrooms, attend camps, and coordinate fundraising events. We always welcome and encourage families to partner with us.

We are proud of the school community. The students are a diverse bunch of terrific children and young adults. They accept differences, open and encouraging, and a welcoming group of individuals who make me smile every day. Rich learning happens across a broad range of skills and learning areas, and we strive daily to grow in wisdom, serve others, and change the world.

Our Mission is to partner with parents in providing an education that honors Jesus, is academically rigorous, develops character, and promotes healthy relationships. We want our students to grow in wisdom, be empowered to serve others, and make a difference in the world. Our Aims

• To provide a general education of the highest quality using a curriculum that has a Biblical world-view.
• To provide a Christian environment for children to learn skills, attitudes, and knowledge through their academic studies. This will equip them to participate in the modern world.
• To foster a co-operative relationship between all college members: parents, staff, students, and the local churches.
• To support parents whose lifestyle is sympathetic to Christian ethics by continually building Christian faith and character in their children so that our relationships with Jesus may be strengthened and understood.

Several years ago, a group of Christian parents felt a need for our town to have a school that provided quality education, accessible to all families that desired Christ-centered instruction for their children. In 1999 that desire became a reality when 23 adventurous children began at our school.

All of you who have ever been involved in a www venture will be well aware of the blood, sweat, and tears, as well as the joy and excitement of that first year. Our school moved onto its present site during the first year, and we have since then added many more buildings to the existing classroom and grown to a community encompassing more than 170 students and more than 20 staff.
