You are a dreamer. But also a doer. And now you are considering graduate school. The University of Indianapolis is a great place to continue your education, whether you are advancing in your current career or changing to one that's entirely new for you. We have designed our graduate programs to fit your busy life, offering evening, weekend, and online courses for many of the degrees.

You never want cost to hold you back from furthering your education. At UIndy, many graduate students receive some financial assistance, and most students rely on the federal Direct Stafford Loan. Depending on your area of study, you might be able to apply for a graduate assistantship. Payment plans are also available, helping spread the tuition expense over a four- or nine-month period.
UIndy provides a high-quality education that prepares you for your life's work at a reasonable price. Now that is a good definition of value. We have worked hard to keep tuition steady to ensure that UIndy will give you a quality education but not break the bank. Loans, financial aid, graduate assistantships, and payment plans are ways to help defray your immediate out-of-pocket costs.
As a graduate student, you are no longer eligible for state grants. However, you are eligible for federal grants, so you must still file the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) each year you want to apply for aid. You might qualify for Federal Direct Stafford Student Loans, Federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Program, Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loans, or alternative loans. We try to avoid cliches but is located in the heart of Indianapolis truly is the best of both worlds for our students. You get the advantage of a small, caring campus community with the nation's 14th-largest city literally in our backyard. And whether you like an eclectic arts scene or the thrills of athletic competition, you will find what you are after when you venture off-campus.

There is no better way to get involved in campus life than to live right on campus! India has seven residence halls and a student apartment complex, with options for every taste. Imagine sleeping in until the last minute before classes, making instant friends, and being just a quick walk away from all activities. Plus, you will be so close to the internship and excursion opportunities in nearby downtown Indianapolis.
The story of the University of Indianapolis, which was founded in 1902, is closely tied to its surrounding University Heights neighborhood. The two grew from infancy together, and UIndy's commitment to its neighborhood remains vital to this day. Both trace their roots back to the turn of the 20th century when William L. Elder, a local real estate developer, offered the Church of the United Brethren in Christ eight acres of real estate southeast of downtown Indianapolis to establish its desired college, as well as the construction of a college building, in return for help in selling homesites around it. Though all 446 parcels had not been sold, Indiana Central University opened its doors in 1905 when the first building, now called Good Hall, was completed. From its beginning, the University has been coeducational and open to all races.
