Tavria State Agrotechnological University

Tavria State Agrotechnological University was established in 1932. Since 2006, the University has been headed by Kiurchev Volodymyr Mykolaiovych, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Educator of Ukraine.

Tavria State Agrotechnological University has been accredited at the fourth level, the highest accreditation level in the Ukrainian accreditation system. Accreditation Certificate: РД-IV No. 0858814 dated 27.06.2013. License: AE No. 527424 dated 02.10.2014 issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science dated 31.07.2014 No. 2657л). After completing degree programs successfully the University graduates get state diplomas issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

Graduates of Agricultural engineering are prepared for the organization of manufacture, design process, to ensure the organization of operation, repair and maintenance of agricultural machinery and equipment. Can work in industry, agriculture and other industries.

Power engineering, electronics and electrical engineering: Graduates of this major are prepared for the assembly, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and instrumentation, production of electrical machinery and apparatus, electricity distribution and control apparatus specialized repair and maintenance of electrical equipment.

Mechanical engineers in the processing and food industries' equipment are prepared for professional activities in the upgrade, development, and manufacture of new models of fruit, vegetable, food and grain processing equipment, and production management.

Preparing computer systems engineers, who are fluent in computer science, can design a feasibility study and technical requirements, create a promotional product using computer design, and perform the computer-aided design of industrial products and production processes. The student has the opportunity to learn the entire spectrum of modern information technologies and related systems.

Graduates of economics are prepared for the organization of activities of the enterprise diagnosis of the competitive environment of the enterprise preparation of business plans of the enterprise feasibility study development of new products, equipment, technology implementation of economically expedient and reasonable pricing monitoring the progress of the tasks of the enterprise as a whole and its subdivisions.

Graduates of Accounting and audit are prepared for an accounting of technical and economic-financial transactions in the enterprise accounting management stages of production according to its process evaluation of the results of the enterprise organization of management, financial and strategic analysis on companies organization of internal and external audit in the enterprise creating a unified accounting system.

Graduates of Finance, Banking and Insurance, are prepared for organizing the financial activities of enterprises, implementation of financial analysis and financial performance management financial reporting financial management of the anti-crisis equilibrium of enterprises and preventing its bankruptcy planning income and expenditure budgets preparation of budget reporting providing services in the financial market (securities management).

Graduates of Marketing are prepared to explore the needs of different groups of consumers, market structure a systematic study of existing markets, analyze the internal environment of enterprise organization of production of new products, and develop new technologies organization of distribution service organization oversight marketing.

Graduates of Agronomy are prepared to implement organizational and technological management of the enterprise in production of plant products forecasting crop yields development of process maps for growing crops rational use of agricultural land determine the economic efficiency of growing and primary processing of crop production.

Graduates of Ecology are prepared for this the state management of environmental programs government operations on environmental control the activities of wildlife sanctuaries, national parks agrochemical service of protecting plants from diseases pests, forest management and fish farms.

Graduates of civil defence are prepared to perform specialists' functions on occupational health services for all kinds of enterprises and activities.

Graduates of Food technologies are prepared to perform the functions of technologist for food engineering, quality and standardization laboratory engineer foreman, head of standardization service, a specialist in grain storage and processing purveyor of fruits and vegetables.

Our most essential task is helping students get the most out of their experiences at the University. The students' life goes not only in the classrooms and libraries. Outside – of – studies relationships and spiritual atmosphere forming the values that will determine their future life are essential for young people. The University has all the necessary conditions for it.

TSATU students' club comprises four talented amateur groups. Over 100 students are involved in regular rehearsals. Each year over 500 students take part in the events held in the walls of the University. Members of the students' club are the prize winners of the republican and regional, all-Ukrainian, international competitions and festivals.

Sports play a leading part in the life of the students. For the students of TSATU, out – of – Physical Training classes also mean autumn and spring sporting competitions: sports cups at the faculties and the relay-race dedicated to different arrangements. The sports club comprises 15 sections, over 600 students going in for sports there.

Social activities and charity are also crucial for our students. They organize performances and make presentations to the children in orphanages.

The campus is part and parcel of students' life. Five building of the dormitories make up the students' dwelling area, which comprises the sports complex and other unique places, thus enabling them to spend their time in a rewarding way. All non-resident students of TSATU are provided with accommodation that makes the campus their "second home". Everything is available for their comfortable life: the Internet, facilities for recreation, assembly halls for holding cultural events and many others.

There is the TSATU health centre on the campus territory where students can relax and improve their health and receive health promotion packages.

In the summertime, our students willingly rest in sports camps. At the "SALUT" sports camp situated not far from Melitopol, young people progress with their training.

The students' life is full of events. Some are serious, some are not, some are big, some are small, some are sad, and some are joyful. Those are practical work, tests, exams, and holidays, meetings, concerts and dance parties.

The Union of students and postgraduates helps to make students' lives more eventful and exciting. Besides, it renders financial support for the students of disadvantaged background and the orphans, the physically disabled and students' families.

The administration of the TSATU pays due attention to students' cultural life either. Amateur artistic work is one of the main focuses of attention to students' club. Over 100 students are involved in regular rehearsals and studio activities in the club.

The club artistic groups' new repertoire was worked out for their performances, which they have presented at various festivals, concerts and other cultural events both in and outside Melitopol and region. High-level performances have always been characteristic of the folk theatre, the amateur-song band, the KVN team.

Sports take the leading part in the students' life. What makes it more exciting and eventful is the sports club. Some of them are Masters of Sports of Ukraine, International Sportmasters and Sportmasters Candidates.
