More than 20,000 graduates in their careers, undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate, have more than half a century of experience in the Jesuit University's education, emphasizing humanistic, social, scientific, and professional training of students.

The training of scientists, awareness, and commitment is the mission of the university mission inspired by the Ignatian ideal of consistently exceeding demand levels. Therefore, academic excellence and the integral formation of the person are the pillars that make up its identity.
The academic excellence is based on a rigorous selection of candidates to join the various races, a physicist and computer art equipment, modern methods of teaching and learning based on small groups, and extensive student contact with reality through seminars, volunteer work, visits to companies and institutions, internships, research, conferences, etc. We aspire to be a university that affects the construction of more just social order by training graduates competent and committed to their reality (teaching) through the production of socially relevant knowledge (research) and through social projection thereof (extension) to influence public policies that improve the quality of life especially the most disadvantaged sectors of our society. Comprehensive training to achieve the UCC has areas that work together: Pedagogical Assistance, Health Ministry, Arts, Sports, Services, Training.
The ultimate goal of university activity is changing the structures. This means that we do not work with the power of words in culture, critically, to transform people only. We seek, by the way, transforming consciousness from a more humane and Christian eye. However, the University should have in their ultimate horizon intended to transform society from its structures so that there is more and better education, access to health care for the poor, access to justice for all, and particularly for the sectors most disadvantaged in society.
