The State University of New York, SUNY, is the most extensive public university system in the United States. It was established in 1948 and consisted of 64 universities located within the State of New York, including such prestigious schools as Stony Brook University, Fashion Institute of Technology, Binghamton University, and Buffalo University.
SUNY Korea was established in March 2012 as the first American university founded in Korea’s only smart city, Songdo. It is also the first global campus inaugurated at the Incheon Global Campus. To provide global education to students is the first SUNY and Stony Brook University (SBU)campus built outside of the U.S. Every year, SUNY Korea continues to expand its program offerings in various academic fields such as engineering, fashion, science, business, and more.
SUNY Korea nurtures global leaders who are genuinely compatible with the global environment. It does more than merely delivering knowledge SUNY Korea educates students to develop abilities capable of completing given tasks and solving the challenges that our society faces.
Currently, SUNY Korea is offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Technological Systems Management, Applied Mathematics and Statistics, and Business Management from Stony Brook University (SBU) and Fashion Design and Fashion Business Management from Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). The students in these programs will have the opportunity to take courses both in Korea and the U.S. To ensure the identical quality of education, all program courses are the same as that of the home campuses. Upon graduation, all students receive a diploma issued by their respective institutions.
To accommodate students worldwide and make their college life memorable, we offer affordable on-campus housing, a wide variety of scholarships, and diverse student activities. Students will also have the opportunity to form a global network with students from neighboring universities on the Incheon Global Campus.
