USD is the oldest multidisciplinary higher educational institution of the Udmurt Republic. For over 80 years of its history, UdSU has been celebrating the reputation of the region's scientific, educational, and cultural center. With a strong focus on internationalization and aiming to integrate into European and worldwide education areas, UdSU has cooperated with various universities and organizations in the CIS, Europe, Asia, and America under many international partnership agreements. Every year we welcome students and scholars from all over the world that study and conduct research at UdSU and enjoy getting to know the University, the Republic, the city of Izhevsk, and its people.
Udmurt State University encourages international applicants to consider UdSU for DEGREE and NON-DEGREE (exchange) studies. International applicants whose Russian language competence does not meet the admission language requirements (at least B1 level) for degree programs should apply for PRE-UNIVERSITY COURSES. USD offers a non-degree program in English RUSSIAN AND REGIONAL STUDIES. The program is designed for those who would like to know more about Russia and its regions, the Udmurt Republic, but who are not confident in their Russian language proficiency. Bilateral exchange students can integrate the courses into their study program at the host institute. Duration of the program - 1 semester (autumn semester only). We invite people from all over the world to choose one of the three UdSU SUMMER SCHOOL programs. In addition to the Russian language summer school, UdSU is a unique place to learn the Udmurt language and culture in an authentic environment. Another summer school opportunity is for those who plan their further studies in Russia and whose future career is related to the Oil and Gas industry.
Udmurt State University is committed to developing the international dimension of its academic and research activities. Establishing new partnerships with overseas educational and research organizations, promoting academic exchange programs, participating in international associations and consortia have long been among its priority goals. The University strives to promote research excellence and innovative teaching by establishing and maintaining International partnerships with universities worldwide. Udmurt State University has been a member of various university consortia under several International projects since the 1990s.
