Avans University of Applied Sciences was founded on 1 January 2004 following a Hogeschool Brabant and Hogeschool' s-Hertogenbosch. We make a sustainable difference. We train future-proof professionals ready to enter the workforce. Continuously develop new knowledge of education and society in partnership with companies, institutions, and government agencies. Our students and employees engage in multidisciplinary collaboration and come up with creative solutions that benefit society as a whole. At Avans University of Applied Sciences, around 29,500 students study 48 different courses. Two thousand eight hundred employees work at 20 schools, four support services units, and one center for learning and innovation.
Our mission: the best, based on passion and commitment; we aim to develop talent by helping future graduates to become highly qualified professionals, who continuously develop themselves and their profession and who are aware of their social responsibility also from an international perspective. We aim to contribute to shaping and realizing social, cultural, and economic developments in the region by acting as a sustainable partner for regional companies, authorities, and organizations to develop, share, and generate knowledge and carry out practice-based research.
