Fukuoka Dental College, located in the western part of Japan, celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2012. With its 40 years' firm basis, FDC keeps evolving to lead Dentistry's future as the only Private Dental College in the west of Japan.
Due to the aging society we face, patients' medical histories are ever more complex. FDC is devoted to creating a more comprehensive educational system by integrating Dentistry with Medicine, Life Sciences, and Welfare to meet the times' needs.
FDC aims to foster competent dentists with virtues and international perspectives, contribute towards social welfare and advance Dental Medicine. To achieve our goals, we offer a 6-year curriculum that includes ethics, specialized subjects, and clinical training. We also offer various club activities, international exchanges, and support systems to help them achieve their goals. Clinical training includes dentistry and medicine, such as Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Pain Clinic, Otorhinolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, Psychosomatic Medicine, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, and Orthopedics.
Today, in our super-aging society, dentists are required to know about medicine to meet society's needs. For better cooperation between dentists and medical doctors, we are fostering dentists with such knowledge.
Fukuoka Dental College has a range of facilities that support students' learning experience on campus. Many of the facilities, such as grounds, gymnasium, school cafeteria, and the library through the interlibrary loan system, are also available to the community members.
