Unila has determined to build both Unila and the Nation all together. With this determination, in the Long Term Development Plan (RPJP) Unila 2005-2025, Unila has defined its vision: "Unila aspires to be among the Top Ten University in Indonesia by 2025". In line with the mission of National Education Development and the policy of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Unila has set its missions in RPJP years 2005-2025 as follows:
Missions of the University of Lampung As stated in RPJP 2005-2015 and Strategic Plan 2007-2011, Unila's mission statements are:
- To organize a relevant and good quality of Tri Dharma (University's Three Obligations), including Education, Research, and Community Service.
- To administer good university governance.
- To guarantee accessibility and equity of higher education.
- To develop cooperation with various parties inside and outside the country.
- To realize its vision and missions, Unila is committed to the following purposes.
Purposes of the University of Lampung:
- To actualize qualified and highly competitive graduates with immediate acceptance by the labor market and capability to create jobs for themselves and others
- To produce new/excellent science and technology published in accredited journals inside and outside the country and patented research.
- To increase society's competitiveness and welfare through innovative and qualified community service based on new/excellent science and technology.
- To improve organizational management in academic, finance, and human resources toward good governance university
- To expand people's accessibility to gain higher education from Unila
- To increase cooperation with the central government, provinces, regencies, municipalities, industries, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders inside and outside the country.
- Having the optimism to deliver benefits to the Nation, the entire family of Unila unites to realize the vision and missions.
The University of Lampung provides various scholarships from governmental institutions and non-governmental institutions and corporations. The administration, registration, and selection for Unila scholarships are carried out through online and offline applications.
Scholarships granted by the government are:
- Afirmasi Dikti Scholarship for students from Papua Province and West Papua Province
- Bid Misi
- BBP PPA
- PPA
Other scholarships provided by Unila for its students are scholarships granted by institutions/corporations, both state-owned and private, in cooperation with Unila, such as:

- I-MHERE Scholarship
- Pertamina Scholarship
GSG is used for various activities, including public lectures, graduation activities, sports, and other activities, especially by students of the University of Lampung.
Student Activity Center Building is used for the students in organizing intra-university for both technology and art. In this building, we can find the Office of Student Council of the University of Lampung, Scouts, Student Cooperative, and the student regiment. A variety of artistic activities and exhibitions, for example, philately is also held in this building.
To train students in the field of sports, various sports facilities are owned by Unila. The sports facilities include a swimming pool, soccer field, tennis courts, volleyball, field hockey, and judo building. By having those sports facilities, Unila expects to produce athletes who can compete in nationally and internationally sports events.
The University of Lampung and the community need bank services. Therefore BNI is allowed to open a Branch Office in the Unila campus. The bank is also needed to facilitate financial traffic both for Unila, faculties, and students.
This coop serves the needs of employees and students.
The magnificent mosque is intended to enhance the campus community's spiritual development, including lecturers, students, and the surrounding community. Lecturers, students, and employees organize the mosque. Various religious activities, both aimed at academic society and the general public, are held frequently.
This Kindergarten is to accommodate the children of lecturers and university employees to get an excellent education to educate Lampung and the Nation. With the high number of staff and students, the University of Lampung inevitably needs a parking space. A safe parking place protected by trees is widely available in a variety of work units. For motorcycles, a parking area is provided separately to maintain security.
