At the praxisHochschule, you can complete a dual degree for a Bachelor of Dental Hygiene and Prevention Management and a Bachelor of Digital Dental Technology (B.Sc.). The Healthcare Manager and the Social Manager (B.A.) and the Health Networker can receive academic training concluding with a Bachelor degree. Some programs contain vocational training – all of them are practice-integrated. As a result, innovative learning methods in small, intimate groups make the praxisHochschule – University of Applied Sciences unique.
The University of Applied Sciences combines theory and practice in every course program, enabling students to connect their academic studies and practical work skills. The training and practice integrated study model combines bachelor studies with career training and practical skills training. To enjoy a variety of professional choices in the future, professional training is required. That is why students at our University have to take care of their studies and work in parallel as a compulsory study form.
The University of Applied Sciences has "problem-based learning" (PBL, also problem-oriented learning, POL) as the fundamental principle for courses. Instead of the classic teacher-centered teaching method, independent learning is also the core element when studying at our University.
Students will set their learning goals using independent analyses of problem cases and case studies in a small group under scientists and practice experts who subsequently follow students' learning results altogether. This learning phase will be supplemented with practice units in our clinic or other cooperative training practices, where students will take seminars, lectures, and self-learning course units.
Through the integration of practice and theory, students can enjoy the acquisition of knowledge, ability, and skills and personal development as a significant element of the study path.

Students may also enjoy an intensive exchange of information here - with each other or with tutors and lecturers - outside of the present times.
Our guiding principle is to support and promote the German health and social system's development and future. We believe that a regionally organized, cross-sectoral health and social system with a stronger orientation towards prevention is beneficial. Therefore, our goal is to collaborate between different professions and health professionals, the focal point for patients' benefit.
We believe that the equality and recognition of professions in the social and health care services is an essential step for further developing our health care and social systems. For this reason, we offer dual degree programs that enable our graduates to rise to the challenges of critical positions and meet the demands of tomorrow's social and health care systems.
In the Health System Care of Tomorrow, individualized patient-based health care will play an important role, in particular, the growing prevalence of chronic diseases and the necessary care and support; the interdisciplinary exchange will be a crucial success factor in disease prevention and sustainable health care, qualified personnel will be required who can meet both current and future challenges. Professionals are needed whose work in social and health care services is socially recognized.
Our Strengths: We continuously develop our cases and link them with problem-based learning approaches. We bring work situations into the University and take the University into our students' companies and institutions. Learning occurs in small groups because we believe that the exchange between our students and their discussions is an essential part of the learning process. Direct and personal contact between students and teachers is self-evident. With us, learning occurs through the interconnection of knowledge, skills, and personal competency development.
Our Research Practice-Oriented. Research is not an end in itself for us. Our research activities aim always to ask questions, find answers, and produce findings that can help improve people's health and care and social aspects of their lives. Research is an essential aspect of our teaching. We, therefore, systematically involve our students in research activities and incorporate our research into the instruction. We disclose any research conducted on behalf of a third party as precisely this. We place importance on communicating the results of our research activities in professional circles and the general public. We strive to communicate the results of our research in a comprehensible manner.
