    The AMD uses its international network. The intensive collaborations and practical projects with international fashion specialists, designers, scientists, and brand chief executives enable a learning opportunity on the highest quality standard for over 29 years.

    AMD already educated over 4.700 alumni. The graduates successfully went into business for themselves or worked for notable brands like Alexander McQueen, Hermes, Vogue, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Porsche, and Zalando.
    The AMD Akademie Mode & Design evolves education programs for the creative industry and is eligible for fashion, design, communication, and management. Our aim is creative excellence and the creation of a future-based knowledge society in an international context. To successfully fulfill this aim, we define ourselves towards teaching and research beyond the values of innovation, interdisciplinarity, and quality.
    Our training, study, and other education programs connect innovative capacity with creativity. We are searching the contexts of our education in the global world of change, questioning these in the dialogue with other fields of knowledge and its experts, connecting approved standards with technical and creative innovations, aligning us creatively and thinking and acting application-oriented.
    For determining attitudes and aims for our educational offer, we connect theory, practice, and science of different disciplines to one unit for acquiring skills, transacting applied knowledge, and conveying them towards others.

    AMD stands for innovation, interdisciplinary approach, quality in teaching and research, practical relevance, and individual career development. The Academy has four campuses in the significant German creative locations Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Munich, and Berlin.
    The Department for higher education at the Academy has been merged with the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences. It has become the Department of Design, an educational unit for the AMD School of Fashion and AMD School of Design.

    Develop your design style in an international context – on the English-language Fashion Design (B.A.) study program; you will acquire creative, manual, and technical skills and learn to use interdisciplinary thinking to design progressive collections. In addition to a high degree of creativity, one of the essential traits for up-and-coming designers is a sensitivity to social, cultural, and economic factors. The program focuses on international developments and how they influence the fashion industry.
    The seven-semester study program covers practical, artistic, and theoretical aspects. Providing individual support and promoting personal skills take top priority. Establish industry contacts from an early stage: Cooperation with fashion companies and cultural institutions and an internship are essential parts of the study program. Specialist English skills will help you to launch your career in the international fashion scene.
    Design your brand or work for well-known fashion brands. The international focus of the study program will open doors to renowned fashion companies worldwide. Alternatively, launch your label with an international setup.

    The study program qualifies graduates to work in many areas, not just fashion design. Become a stylist for film and photo productions in close collaboration with model agencies, hair and make-up teams, and photographers. Work as a fashion scout and current potential future color developments, new materials, and approaches to contouring for trend research and analysis. Newspapers, publishers, agencies, and labels need fashion designers to create graphic representations of collections and visuals to present their trends.
    The start of studies in the international bachelor program in Fashion Design (B.A.) in the winter semester. Applications will be accepted throughout the year. Due to the basic specialist knowledge required, applicants must have previously entered a study program at another higher education institution and speak English. The study program is open to both German and international students.
