SKEMA Business School is a private establishment of higher education and research with a non-profit association's legal status under the French "1901 law".
SKEMA was founded in 2009 due to the merger between the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, Lille, and CERAM Business School, Sophia Antipolis. The Lille school had been founded in 1892 and CERAM in 1963.
SKEMA is a member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles. The French Ministry approved the school of Higher Education and Research as an EESPIG (Private Establishment for Higher Education declared public usefulness). This official status was conferred on 6 July 2015 and declared in the Bulletin Officiel on 23 July 2015.
SKEMA is a community devoted to learning and the creation and transmission of management knowledge and practice. Since its inception, SKEMA has become a global school with a multi-campus structure and an extensive portfolio of English and French programs. These range from undergraduate level to continuing education and are aligned with the Bologna higher education norms (Licence, Master, Doctorate).
SKEMA aims to become the global business school on five continents. Its common international strategy is to train management leaders in the knowledge economy by developing.
Since its beginnings in 2009 as a result of the merger between ESC Lille and CERAM Business School, SKEMA has been an international business school that has always been inspired by the same ambition on its French and international campuses: to train leaders and managers who are mobile and adaptable, able to contribute to the knowledge economy and generate sustainable performance respecting the values and challenges of society, the environment, and the economy. SKEMA graduates should seek to create value through continuous innovation while respecting multicultural and social diversity. The school currently has 7,200 students, 160 research professors, six campuses worldwide, and 35,000 alumni.
