European Polytechnical University

The European Polytechnical University, or EPU, is a private engineering university located in Pernik, Bulgaria. The University was established in 2010. It offers both undergraduate and post-graduate programs. It is accredited by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Bulgaria. Its actual accreditation is for three years until 7 July 2019

The European Polytechnical University (EPU, the University) is the newest education establishment within Bulgaria's higher education system. It is established upon the initiative of a group of outstanding Bulgarian scholars and recognized business representatives from different fields of science and practice supported by private investments.

The management structure of EPU is established in compliance with article 36 of HEA and comprises the Board of Trustees, President, Academic Council, and Rector. The University's management has an ambitious short-term objective to develop the facilities further and achieve the average European standards and requirements for higher education establishment's facility. Also, great efforts are made to develop further the university facilities to compile the highest European standards and requirements by 2 – 3 years.

The University's international policy is subject to use all opportunities in which the cooperation with universities, business structures, non-governmental organizations, and administrative authorities in other countries can fulfill its mission and strategic goals.

The typical feature of EPU research activities, as a planned concept, is the practical applicability of researches and their binding with the needs of the business and the public practice. Representatives of leading companies, outstanding experts, and professionals in the trends in which EPU is profiled are involved in the research and education activities of EPU. They are members of mixed teams of research and business projects, in which students are also actively involved. Business participates with investments in innovations and as a beneficiary of scientific knowledge and products, as well as of a stable partner in the organic trinity "science – education –business." The University works for the establishment of a new generation of pragmatic scholars and entrepreneurs.

The European Polytechnical University is a multinational center of interaction between contemporary tuition, scientific research activities and innovations, and academic and business cooperation. The University personalizes the relationship with its students and doctoral students, complies with their abilities and preferences, and prepares them for professional realization in the dynamically changing world's market environment. The establishment of competitive European education, research, and cultural environment plays a crucial role in forming the common European Education Area (EEA). With its education, cultural and political traditions, Bulgaria gradually takes its place. It actively participates in realizing the European Community's standard policies and establishes conditions for their adaptation to its environment.
