A non-selective, non-denominational, co-educational primary free school, Watling Park School welcomes children from all backgrounds. Opening in September 2015 with two Reception classes of 30 children, the school will grow organically to reach its capacity of 420 pupils. As well as state-of-the-art facilities for pupils and staff, this new building brings fresh investment into the area, not just for the pupils at the school, but also the local community. A 3g pitch is being constructed to use as a multi-use area by the school and the local community in the evenings and at weekends. It is our ambition to offer free or low-cost community use of the facilities to local groups for at least 2 sessions a week, with access every evening and weekend. We are proud of the high-quality education this new school offers along with the before and after school clubs which enhance the opportunity for our pupils. Pupils at Watling Park School are nurtured and guided through school life we aim to stimulate and inspire our children, develop their interests and equip them with lifelong learning skills. Operated by Bellevue Place Education Trust, the school offers a broad and balanced curriculum with a specific focus on literacy and numeracy. We focus on high academic attainment and employ innovative pedagogical approaches delivered by the finest teaching staff. We believe that children learn best when they are happy and excited by what’s happening in the classroom excellent achievements will be a by-product of the education on offer and not the only goal. We aim to instill a love of learning in our pupils and provide a solid foundation to build on, in the transition to secondary education and beyond. The school will combine the best from the state and independent sectors to provide a first-class school for the local community in Burnt Oak.
