      1. Welcome you at the start of what will be a rewarding and enriching journey here at WCG. Whether this is your first step towards a qualification or it's part of your desire for lifelong learning, we have many different courses and extra-curricular activities to offer you. As one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the UK, with unique colleges across two counties, we aim to deliver learning experiences that lead to broader skill bases and improved destinations for all of our students. Our recent Ofsted inspection highlights our success and strong focus both on students and on meeting industry needs. We are also one of only five colleges in the UK to be granted Foundation Degree Awarding Powers by the Privy Council – meaning our higher education academic quality and standards are equal to any university. We believe it's not just about the vital qualifications and knowledge you need to get ahead, but the essential transferable skills to help you on your next steps, whatever they may be. WCG will help you develop an entrepreneurial mindset by instilling enterprising and innovative skills and behaviors, which will help you become successful in an ever-competitive world. We offer all of the above in a supportive, friendly, high-quality, and technologically-driven environment. Our student success rates and A-level results are at an all-time high. Our students progress onto a wide range of careers with globally recognized brands, and many students have also set up their businesses and enterprise projects. Our students have achieved a pass rate of 98% in A-level exams and a 100% pass rate in 16 subjects. Our international students progress to some of the UK's top universities, including Cambridge, Durham, UCC, Bristol, and Birmingham. WCG is one of only a few colleges in the UK to be granted Foundation Degree Awarding Powers by the Privy Council - meaning the academic quality and standards of our Foundation degrees are equal to any university. We received the first AoC (Association of Colleges), International Charter, recognizing our provision for international students and commitment to developing all our students as global citizens. We have links with several of the UK's top universities, including the University of Warwick, the University of Leeds, and Aston University. Our accommodation team will help you find somewhere to live, either with one of our friendly host families or in our on-campus halls of residence. We provide first-class support, including airport collection, visa advice, career advice, and applying to university.
      2. Welcome to North Warwickshire & Hinckley College North Warwickshire & Hinckley College is one of the largest and most successful colleges in the region. We offer brilliant teaching and learning, excellent work experience placements, and students' opportunities to develop independently. Our excellent facilities, strong partnerships with major employers and universities, and excellent international relationships have helped make us a sought-after place to study for thousands of young people and adults. Students' learning is enhanced through purpose-designed training areas and industry-specific equipment in CAD Engineering, Hospitality & Catering, Construction, and Electrical Installation. Our Creative Arts campus in Hinckley has the best facilities in the region. It offers students access to state-of-the-art Computing supported by industry-standard software and lecturing staff who are also skilled practitioners. Regional businesses have praised our Advanced Engineering Centre at the Nuneaton Campus and the Harrowbrook Construction Centre in Hinckley. Students can acquire traditional skills whist developing competencies in working with emerging technologies. All of our students have access to a wide range of support services, including advice on financial assistance. In January 2013, North Warwickshire & Hinckley College earned a place in national history as a newly federated college. We officially joined forces with South Leicestershire College and have been overseen by one principal since I was appointed joint Principal and Chief Executive in February 2013. This is only the second time two Further Education colleges have joined forces in this way. Having worked together successfully in the past, it made good sense to take that relationship one step further and form a Federation, a move that will allow us to expand our courses by sharing expertise and resources and improving our students' support. The government set out its definition of British Values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy. In 2014, the Department of Education published guidance on promoting British Values in schools to ensure young people leave school and college prepared for life in Modern Britain. At North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, we are dedicated to promoting values that ensure that our students develop a strong sense of social and moral responsibility. We prepare our students for life in Modern Britain by developing an understanding of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. Our aim is that all North Warwickshire & Hinckley College students can contribute effectively to the broader community, using the skills and knowledge they have acquired during their time at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College. As well as being fully engaged in their learning experience, we want our students to become responsible and well-rounded individuals. At North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, students are actively encouraged to make independent choices because they are in a safe, secure, and supportive environment. Staff at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College educate and provide boundaries for students to make informed choices through a safe environment and an empowering education. North Warwickshire & Hinckley College has a robust anti-bullying culture and has a comprehensive Behaviour Policy that promotes achievement for all students. We are conscious of significant changes in our local economies and the vital role that education can play. We can help local people, businesses, and organizations grow through learning and acquiring new skills and competencies. We are passionate about learning, teaching, and assessment, and we are committed to our learners' success.
