We have clear expectations regarding acceptable behavior, which are clearly defined and all parents and pupils are encouraged to follow. We will keep you informed of your child’s progress and development regularly throughout the year. We welcome parent’s involvement in the life of the school as we believe that a strong partnership between home and school has a huge impact on children’s learning and we want you to be fully informed and involved. Our School Aims: To provide a stable, caring, happy and inclusive environment in which children are stimulated to work and play together. To ensure that children are involved in the life of the School and Community in which they live. To develop children’s awareness of the need to behave in a socially acceptable way in a variety of contexts. To foster a respect for religious and moral values, tolerance of other races, religions, and ways of life. To help pupils develop enquiring minds, the ability to question, to argue rationally, to apply themselves to tasks and skills they are given and those which they construct themselves. To help pupils acquire knowledge and skills including ICT relevant to adult life and employment in a fast-changing world. To help pupils acquire and use acceptable skills through the delivery of the National Curriculum. To help pupils appreciate human achievements and aspirations. To provide a caring and supportive working environment for all staff in which each person’s full potential is developed. To encourage parents and governors to take an active part in the school. To have high expectations of all pupils. Trella Primary School is a mainstream maintained Community Primary School with a 40 place Nursery Unit which means we can have 80 part-time places. The standard number on a roll for each year group is 60 making two classes per year. The school currently has one Specialist Resource Base (SRB) catering for children with a variety of needs. The school benefits from a well-maintained site, large field, and playground with climbing areas including a MUGA area. A well-equipped ICT suite, library, large hall, and well-proportioned classrooms offer a stimulating environment for children to learn in. View full school
