  1. Why is parent-teacher collaboration essential for a child's development? Research indicates that a strong and positive connection between parents and teachers can lead to better educational outcomes for students. Here are some reasons why parent-teacher collaboration is crucial for a child's development: 1. Better Academic Outcomes When parents and teachers work together, they can identify the strengths and weaknesses of a student early on. This helps create an individualized learning plan that caters to the child's specific needs. This customized approach leads to better academic outcomes since students have the necessary support and resources to succeed. 2. Better mental and emotional health When parents and teachers form a healthy partnership, they can watch out for children's mental and emotional well-being. This can include identifying signs of anxiety, depression, or stress and developing strategies to address them. 3. Better communication between home and school When parents and teachers collaborate, they establish clear communication channels that make it easier to stay updated on a child's academic and social progress. This makes it easier to address any concerns before they become major issues. 4. Better socialization skills When parents and teachers collaborate effectively, they can create a supportive environment that helps improve children's socialization skills. Children who come from families that are involved in their education are more likely to have better social skills and self-esteem. 2. First Think International Kindergarten was founded in Laguna City in 1994. Now we have grown into 4 international kindergartens and 1 international school. In September 2016 Think Academy is planning to open, to offer secondary education. Think Academy will be using Cambridge Secondary 1 and Cambridge IGCSE, followed by the IB Diploma Programme. Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, child-centered, and challenging environment that uses an inquiry-based approach to foster diversity and to develop knowledgeable and open-minded, courageous, and caring life-long learners. We aim at preparing children to become global citizens who believe in themselves, respect other people, and love nature and their countries. With international education, students acquire a global vision. All children have individual strengths and talents. We are dedicated to providing a quality international education, which will help students discover and develop their special talents and gifts. We will also help them achieve the best of their ability. Children who are immersed in a bilingual environment at this young age are much more capable of learning the rudiments of another language than if they were to start later. We pledge that students should set a high standard for themselves, in doing so, they will excel. They should also look at the strengths of others so that the best of others’ abilities can be achieved. If students can master the above, they are bound to succeed. View full school
  3. We believe a good pre-school education must be able to discover and develop the talents of the individual child. To achieve this goal, we place balanced emphasis on all areas of children's early development including language & cognitive, physical, mathematics, science, arts, social skills, and emotional. We also build children's understanding of responsibility as important members of society. It has been over 20 years since our first Think International Kindergarten was founded in Laguna City in 1994. I am so pleased to witness our students growing, learning, enjoying, exploring, and achieving at Think. Each child is unique, with different potentials. We believe childhood is a crucial stage to discover and develop children’s talents. We are dedicated to providing well-balanced quality educations that build far-reaching foundations for children to further grow, achieve and succeed in this ever-changing society. At Think, we have a team, a family of committed educators who strive for learning excellence for children. We are proud that our graduates are well prepared for their primary school, be it a Cantonese-speaking government school, a Putonghua-speaking direct subsidy school, or an International School. Their solid language skills ( two written and three spoken ) gives them a sound foundation to learn in these languages. Our inquiry approach in the classroom and our teaching through interactive whiteboards, open the children’s eyes to how they can learn and prepare them for creativity and critical thinking. Think International Kindergarten/Nursery was founded on August 1st, 1994 at Laguna City, to provide bilingual pre-school education to children living in the community and to prepare them for international primary Schools or local primary schools.
