      1. The Tatnall School provides a robust and balanced foundation with exceptional academics, outstanding athletics, unparalleled arts, and authentic relationships. Tatnall sparks a lifetime of personal and professional achievement in our students. We nurture young, curious minds with an inspiring and rigorous curriculum, award-winning teaching staff, and advanced technology; all provided within an enriching, caring environment. We seek to appreciate and further each student's unique intellectual, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual needs and help them grow in maturity and confidence. Today, approximately 600 boys and girls, from PK3 through Grade 12, are engaged and inspired by Tatnall's exceptional faculty and staff, effective programs, and idyllic 110-acre campus adjoining 350 acres of natural habitats. We believe that students learn best when they are well-known, so we partner with parents at every stage. Founded in 1930, The Tatnall School values its long-standing school traditions while embracing an innovative and collaborative spirit. Our learning spaces—classrooms, labs, performance and art studios, playgrounds, technology centers, forests, outdoor habitats, athletic fields, and gymnasiums—hum always with activity. You will find our students to be talented, curious, active, fun-loving, and involved. They savor their opportunities and value their adult mentors. They also know how to contribute in meaningful ways across the campus and their local and global community. Our graduates appreciate what it means to lead and serve. It is not surprising that Tatnall students, athletes, artists, and alumni garner state and regional recognitions each year. Our motto, Omnia in Caritate (All Things in Love), best describes the atmosphere you will find here. We encourage you to arrange a visit with us to learn more about this excellent family school. During your visit, expect to encounter educational excellence, teachers with passion, joyful learning, friendly smiles, and an authentically warm Tatnall welcome. School, by its very nature, is a joyful place. How can it not be? Children of any age, background, ability, and experience bring our institutions and Mission to life. Our campus may be beautiful, our Laird Performing Arts Center unique, our program demanding, and our faculty exceptional. However, without students' critical ingredients, we are hollow and lifeless edifices and lonely faculty seeking the ingredient that brings joy to every corner of this campus and our lives as academics. Authentic relationships are developed here through our teachers' exceptional nature and the history of working closely with students. To hear at the back to school nights that we have a faculty adept at teaching across divisions tells the story of Tatnall as a school that is focused on excellence and recognizing individual strengths. As we begin the 2018-2019 academic year, it is gratifying to see the level of support that Tatnall has from every constituency. That support is felt across campus as we begin the year together in joyful celebration of all things Black and Gold, all things Tatnall. Whether observing the fifth graders utilizing their new Chromebooks, Grade 1 in their new music room, seniors in their updated lounge, Grade 8 in their new Spanish classroom, or all the students partaking of the excellent fare from Caffé Gelato, the year has begun with the laughter of community and the joy of family — the Tatnall family. "Tatnall is not just a school. It's a way of life." Our Mission is to provide our students with an excellent college preparatory education in a family atmosphere within this context. At Tatnall, a caring faculty creates an environment that nurtures curiosity and encourages students to grow in maturity and self-esteem. Our faculty recognizes and respects each student's unique intellectual, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual needs and gifts in their concern for the total individual. A Tatnall graduate is prepared to succeed as a college or university student and to assume the critical role of a responsible member of society in all its diversity. At Tatnall, we inspire students to explore and excel in engaging the world with courage, intelligence, passion, and purpose. We provide a robust and balanced foundation with exceptional academics, outstanding athletics, unparalleled arts, and authentic relationships. We develop minds, build character, and create community – one student at a time. The Tatnall School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students. It does not discriminate based on race, color, national or ethnic origin in administering its educational and admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
