The school is a mixed Community Primary School for pupils aged between 3 and 11 years old in the picturesque, rural village of Talley. As a Welsh-medium Primary School, children are given opportunities to develop their Welsh literacy skills and knowledge by being immersed in a rich culture. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment with a strong Welsh ethos. Every pupil is allowed to reach their full potential by receiving a broad and balanced curriculum. Celebrating the history and culture of Wales is central to our values and pupils take pride in their ability to speak the Welsh language. Pupils are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous and orderly manner at all times and are encouraged to consider others and to respect their rights and property. In the school’s Positive Behaviour Policy, the emphasis is placed on promoting good behavior. Every child in the school has been involved in formulating our positive behavior and consequence charts. In all cases of unacceptable behavior, the consequence will always be fair and appropriate. Children’s behavior will be recorded on their ClassDojo accounts, which parents can also access and monitor through their phones, tablets, and computers.
