  1. The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (in the future, referred to as "STU") is a modern educational and scientific institution. Since its foundation in the year 1937, more than 159.000 students have graduated. On average, 13.000 students study at the STU every year. At present, the STU consists of seven faculties based in Bratislava and Trnava. All the faculties provide a study in accredited study programs within the complex system of a bachelor, master, and Ph.D. Study. Faculties realize credit system compatible with the European credit transfer system enabling joint mobility of students within European Union member countries and a larger European space. In the area of scientific and research activities, the STU successfully joints European Union programs. STU is a public university and offers education mainly in technical, technological, technical-economical, technical-information, and technical-artistic fields of study using modern education, laboratories, and practical training. It is aimed at the study branches with stable opportunities for students' employment in the labor market. STU offers education in foreign languages, primarily in the following areas: civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry and food technology, architecture. International cooperation is a significant area based on interactive contact with educational and scientific-research institutions of countries worldwide. First of all, it is focused on the solution of the joint projects within the EU framework and other international programs, mobility of students, teaching staff, and researchers. STU system of education is connected with the prestigious partner universities in international programs, especially Erasmus+. Today, one of the main tasks of STU is the active policy in the area of foreign students' recruitment. The number of international students at individual STU faculties has been raised several times during the past years. STU creates for the student's high-quality conditions for the study and for active use of free time. STU also fulfills its mission in further education through the preparation, organization, and assuring of further education prepared at the University's particular faculties and by the Institute of Life-Long Education of STU. The Study and Information Centres (libraries) are parts of the faculties of STU. The Faculty of Health is part of and inspired by the Slovak Medical University's mission and goals in Bratislava. The Faculty of Health has the ambition to provide quality education to students of Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Urgent Medical Care. In the long term, the Faculty aims to offer education in all desired health care areas as demanded by future health care practice. Right from the beginning, the university was destined to be a center of agricultural education, research, and development in Slovakia in the priority area of human activity - sufficient production of safe and wholesome food in harmony with environmental protection, the conservation of biological diversity and sustainable development. The scientific and educational performance and historical traditions of the institution are recognized at home and abroad. Achieving comprehensive accreditation in 2009, SUA ranked among higher education institutions of university type. In 2010, as the first university in Slovakia, SUA was awarded the prestigious ECTS Label by the European Commission to implement and implement the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System for student mobilities. The name Green university has become a part of the identity of our university. The Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences operates the Centre for White and Green Biotechnology. The USA is a member of several international organizations: VUA (Visegrad University Association), where SUA is the founding university, EUA – European University Association, DRC – Danube Rectors' Conference, ASECU - Association of Economic Universities of South and Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region, IAU - International Association of Universities, ICA - Interuniversity Consortium for Agricultural and Related Sciences in Europe, GCHERA - Global Consortium of Higher Education and Research for Agriculture. Our university is an institution that eliminates the barriers caused by the health problems of people with disabilities. As a result of these activities, there is an improvement in the university premises' overall accessibility and comfort and access to information technologies, respectively, information for the visually and hearing impaired. A humane approach to solving the everyday concerns of disabled students is a matter, of course. The Faculty of Health has the ambition to provide quality education to students of Nursing, Physiotherapy, and Urgent Medical Care. In the long term, the Faculty aims to offer education in all desired health care areas as demanded by future health care practice. The Faculty's mission is to raise professionals with the required health care education, who will not only be theoretically and practically empowered, but also will uphold the moral and ethical values of civic responsibility, democracy, humanism, and tolerance develop scientific knowledge in the areas subject to study, especially Nursing, Midwifery, Physiotherapy, and Urgent Medical Care prepare graduates to take an active and professional part in health care in all its forms, in order for them to protect and promote civic health in regions and communities accept directives of the European Union in the undergraduate study for health care workers earning their essential qualification, so that they may receive an education compatible with the education of health care workers in Europe, and that they may attend student exchanges. In order to meet these goals, the Faculty will cooperate with other faculties of similar focus and mission, both at home and abroad. The University's mission is to ensure high-quality education and scientific knowledge in health development, promotion, and protection and prevention, diagnostic methods, treatment, and nursing to protect and promote health as one of the ultimate human values. The University intends to fulfill its mission by developing higher education in study programs of all three tiers, specialization studies, and continuous education in all medical, pharmaceutical, dental, and paramedical (health) studies and conducting research in both medical and pharmaceutical sciences. Implementing up-to-date knowledge in medical sciences is an indivisible part of the University mission. The University offers education to students preparing for different occupations as healthcare professionals in accredited study programs of pre-graduate (Bc., Mgr. and MUDr.) and postgraduate (PhD., specialized and certification study) through a creative research approach in health care science to improve health and quality of life. The University offers the advantage of specialized training facilities, university clinics, university pharmacies, specific facilities, teaching sites, public health authorities, and another ambulatory, institutional and pharmaceutical healthcare facilities accredited by the University, to provide research, scientific and educational opportunities in order to fulfill the mission of the University. The Slovak Medical University in Bratislava is the only University in Slovakia that provides monothematic education for healthcare professions in all three degrees of higher education, and at the same time, the only institution that has guaranteed complex education of healthcare workers in Slovakia under various names since 1953.
