At Slade, we pride ourselves on the excellent experience we provide for every pupil. We are a growing two-form entry school and we are focused on serving our community and enhancing the lives of our pupils every day. We are proud of our community and enjoy learning about each other and valuing our differences. We have an outstanding pastoral team who support the learning of our pupils and ensure that everyone comes into school ready to learn. We are a member of the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership (ATLP) a respected multi-academy that consists of seven schools. Four primary three secondary schools, five children's centers, and one teaching school, based in Coleshill, Erdington, and Four Oaks. We collaborate and share good practices to ensure that we are providing an outstanding learning experience. It is allowing us to innovate and share in a way we have never done before. The ATLP's academies are home to 4,500 children and more than 700 staff, including outstanding headteachers, specialists, and national leaders. The partnership has a strong moral purpose to improve education standards and achievements for all children in the community. By working in partnership, the ATLP can share resources, expertise and deliver quality education to make an even greater difference where it matters most. We have a committed and skilled staff who want the very best for all of our children. We are working hard to ensure every single child reaches their full potential. At Slade, we recognize that each child is an individual, with their strengths and development needs. We aim to give all pupils access to a broad range of learning experiences to ensure that they all have ample opportunities to succeed. The curriculum is underpinned by strong PSHE and SMSC links which fully support our whole school ethos and explores British values too. We have a rich curriculum, with many diverse topics and educational opportunities and recognize the importance of learning through first-hand experiences. Visits and visitors enrich our curriculum and in Year 6 pupils are encouraged to participate in a residential to build and develop a range of skills. Wherever possible, we link areas of learning to give children a real context and meaning, subsequently a deeper knowledge and understanding. Each theme has opportunities for cross-curricular writing, reading, and maths, making the curriculum more cohesive and ensuring that our high standards are maintained in the core areas when linked to foundation subjects.
