The Shipley School is an independent, coeducational day school in Bryn Mawr for pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students. Through our commitment to educational excellence, we develop a love of learning within each student and a desire for compassionate participation in the world. Over the past few years, Gender Sexuality Diversity (GSD) has been an essential topic of conversation in our society. Shipley has taken a stance to ensure our students' safety and rights. We created a policy regarding transgender and gender nonconforming students during the 2015-16 school year. The following link will lead to its purpose, policy, and procedures. Shipley has also established unisex bathrooms in the lower, middle, and upper school campuses for colleagues, students, their families, and visitors to use at their discretion.
