Severn Primary School is an English medium, community co-educational school situated in the Canton area of Cardiff. At Severn, we place great value on the importance of good home/school links as we believe that it is through a close partnership that children learn and flourish. We offer a happy and caring environment where your child can learn within a beautiful Victorian building. The education we provide is carefully matched to the learning needs of individual children. We strive to develop the child’s self-esteem and sense of well-being so that they are ready, willing, and able to learn. As children progress through school they will be offered the opportunity to participate in many extra-curricular activities. Following an amalgamation in September 2008, extensive building work was carried out at the school and we now have fantastic resources and facilities including a computer suite, outdoor classrooms, art room, libraries, food technology room, large halls, and dining area. Severn School is located approximately six miles from Annapolis on two separate campuses in Arnold and Severna Park, Maryland. Severn School was initially founded in 1914 to provide academic preparation for the United States Naval Academy. Today we are a day school enrolling over 800 students from preschool through 12th grade. The greatest gift a parent can provide a child, aside from their love and attention, is an education. It is the most durable inheritance one can pass on. The importance of choosing the right School, then, is vital and involves far more information than a website can provide. Schools are living things, and while technology allows us to pass on information about our programs and people, nothing takes the place of the first-hand experience.
