  1. We are a fully inclusive 4 form entry Catholic Primary School that serves the north Liverpool community for children from ages 2 to Year 6. This September (2017), we are proud to have opened our new Early Years facilities of an 8 place 2-year-old provision and 16 places 30-hour offer service. We currently have 755 children on roll, making us not just the biggest primary school in Liverpool, but the biggest Catholic Primary School in the north of England. Blessed Sacrament is at the heart of our local Catholic community where together, rooted in faith and Christ’s inspiration, we tirelessly support all children and their families to be inspired to achieve their very best. In October 2016 we were judged to be an 'Outstanding Catholic School' when inspected by Liverpool Archdiocese and we made a good start as KS2 Year 6 results in 2017 bettered those in 2016 in all areas. Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School already has a very strong identity and reputation for motivating and inspiring all children in our care, shaped around their individual needs and uniqueness. We have a wonderful new building that is the administrative hub of the school and a fabulous new outdoor learning and play environment to support both the Infant and Junior children, and plans are in place to develop the indoor and outdoor environments and access to such a large school site yet further. At Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary School, we cultivate a Catholic community that develops the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, creative, and physical potential of everyone in a happy, loving, supportive, family environment. We embrace opportunities to experience and participate in the liturgical life of the church by worshipping together and preparing for our Sacramental journey: We develop a sense of awe and wonder in God’s creation. We work together to celebrate the gifts, talents, successes, and uniqueness of everyone. We are guided by the Gospel values of love, hope, care, respect, and forgiveness. We grow in our relationships with God and understand that others choose to express their faith in different ways. We enjoy an aspirational, challenging, creative, broad, and balanced curriculum through which all learners can have fun and achieve: We strive to meet our high expectations to enable all of us to achieve our dreams and ambitions. We build resilience and tenacity to develop confident, independent learners. We celebrate the achievements of everyone, remembering that we are all God’s special people. We support each other through the joys and trials of life particularly at those times when we are feeling vulnerable: We flourish through the outstanding pastoral care that is shared amongst us. We treat everybody as special, ensuring that the health and emotional well-being of all is understood. We promote a happy and safe environment where we are positive role models to each other, thinking about our spirituality and morality. The International School Award is a prestigious badge of honor for schools that can bring an international dimension to teaching and learning. The accreditation means we are developing our school’s international dimension and embedding it into the curriculum and whole school ethos. We work with our global partners to help bring the school together and improve its sense of collective ethos and identity. At Blessed Sacrament, we have been on an exciting journey where we have achieved the different levels of the British Council’s International School Award. We have progressed from the Foundation and Intermediate certificates to the full ISA award. The Primary Science Quality Mark is an award scheme to enable primary schools across the UK to evaluate, strengthen and celebrate their science provision. Its framework ensures realistic self-evaluation and measured progress towards achievable targets. It necessitates whole school impact and success improving scientific experiences and outcomes for all children - and teachers. Blessed Sacrament Primary School achieved the Silver Award in April 2015. We hold the Sustrans Silver Bike IT award for our commitment to give our children the information and skills they need to be able to cycle safely to school regularly. We actively promote healthy travel to and from school. We also offer our Year 5 and 6 children the opportunity to gain a cycling proficiency certificate each year and offer additional help learning to ride a bike if needed. Eco-Schools is an international award program that guides schools on their sustainable journey, providing a simple framework to help make sustainability an integral part of school life. Our Eco mission at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary is to help bring about behavior change in young people and those connected to them so that good habits learned in schools are followed through into homes and communities. The Eco-Schools program is a long-term journey and implementing change takes time and needs careful planning and consideration. At Blessed Sacrament Catholic Primary we think that it's a journey well worth taking and we intend to persevere and attempt to educate our school family in ways in which they can support us to achieve our eco aims. At Blessed Sacrament, the Gospel Values are the thread that runs through our whole curriculum. During Religious Education lessons, we deliver the Liverpool Archdiocesan ‘Come & See’ Programme which is challenging, fun, and dynamic. Children’s life experiences are explored and knowledge of the Catholic faith is revealed.
