  1. Rawalpindi Medical College has always occupied a unique position in the public sector, being one of the leading medical colleges in South Asia. It serves as an extraordinary interface between health care provision and medical education with the three allied hospitals bearing the brunt of the city's health care needs, medical and paramedical undergraduate courses that train the sharpest minds of the country, and diverse post-graduate training programs. To impart evidence-based research-oriented medical education. To provide the best possible patient care. To inculcate the values of mutual respect and ethical practice of medicine. Highly recognized and accredited center of excellence in Medical Education, using evidence-based training techniques for the development of highly competent health professionals. RMU a center of knowledge sharing and a generation with the critical study and debate of human values and what it means to be human, at its heart. To lead the university into an era of innovation and cutting edge scientific inquiry with a truly scientific, social, and economic impact. A place where students are enabled and stimulated to achieve human excellence, and where the ethos and values of quality assurance, transparency, merit, openness, accessibility, participatory approach, and gaining public confidence are held supreme. Rawalpindi Medical College was established in Faisalabad on 18th March 1974 and later shifted to Rawalpindi on 5th November 1974 in an incomplete building at Tipu Road (Science block of Gordon College Rawalpindi), that was later handed over to Rawalpindi Medical College. The founder principal of RMC, Prof. Abdul Latif, worked hard to establish the institution. The student hostels, staff colony, and auditorium were built. The Holy family hospital from missionary church and central Government Hospital from central Government later became Rawalpindi General Hospital and now Benazir Bhutto Hospital. The District headquarters Hospital was also affiliated to the college as 1st teaching hospital. Regarding patient care projects, worth mentioning is State of the art center for Liver and Digestive diseases(CLD), Multi-Organ Failure Centre(MOF), Medical ICU, Department of Infectious Diseases (DID), Department of Emergency and Critical care(DEC), and up-gradation of the affiliated hospitals. To establish recognized postgraduate training in super specialties international conferences, Mentorship programs are other important achievements. Since 1947 more than 7900 students have graduated and are serving nationally and internationally. RMC is privileged to claim top positions in university examinations several times. Best of the best graduate in UHS. Academic programs of the college are accredited by UHS, CPSP, and PMDC. The College got full recognition from General Medical Council UK, American specialty boards, and internship programs with different universities abroad and WHO.
  2. Since its inception, UAAR has experienced remarkable growth and is offering undergraduate as well as post-graduate degree programs in a variety of disciplines. The University includes a Faculty of Crop and Food Sciences, Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Forestry, Range Management and Wildlife, Directorate of Advanced Studies and Research, the University Institute of Management Sciences (UIMS), University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT), and Division of Continuing Education, Home Economics and Women Development. The University building contains an auditorium, multi-storied administrative block, a library, a museum, and four multi-stories academic blocks. The pursuit of excellence on the University campus is a function of competent and dedicated university faculty. The University of Arid Agriculture has, therefore, made constant efforts at staff development with the result that nearly 46% of the faculty possesses Ph.D. degrees, while the others have M.Sc. (Hons) and M. Phil degrees. Furthermore, UAAR is committed to delivering an outstanding student experience as well as enjoying a reputation for excellence in teaching and learning alongside research. Students actively participate in extracurricular and co-curricular life on campus which includes speech events, seminars, and activities related to entrepreneurial skill development. Being an Agricultural Institution, our main objective is to produce high-quality Agricultural Scientists. The vision is to craft this institute a place attracting intellectuals from all over the world. For promoting our faculties to handle arid agriculture issues we are planning to have our campuses in middle-east and/or other countries facing desertification. We plan that the university should serve as a platform for connecting links for creating intercultural understanding and promoting dialogue and sharing among nations, cultures, and societies by providing research-based academic programs in Agriculture, IT, Business, Education, and Veterinary Sciences. Being an Agricultural University, faculty must facilitate the farmers of our country to get optimum benefits from their resources through the utilization of research being carried on in the labs and practicing proposed methods in the field. Replacing the old and traditional methods with advanced modern technology from the production of crops to value-added by-products at the Farm Gate is the real milestone for the university which will ultimately uplift the economy of Pakistan. We are establishing relationships with successful universities and research organizations at the national and international level through joint strategies for education, research, infrastructure, and administrative developments. This will ultimately result in professional working conditions which will boost the confidence level of our students, researchers and encourage our alumni. The mandate of the university is to produce high-quality agricultural scientists and to form an organized scientific infrastructure for teaching and research for the development of dryland regions of the country, thus minimizing the income gap between rich and poor.
