Portside Christian College is a co-educational, interdenominational college that caters to students from three years of age in the Early Learning Centre right through to Year 12. It was established in 1976 as a ministry of Portlife Church, a member of CRC Churches International. At Portside Christian College, we endeavor to help each student reach their full potential through high-quality education, coupled with supportive relationships with parents and students. Our school is known in the community for its lively culture and its genuine care and learners' support. Situated at the heart of the New Port Keys redevelopment, our purpose is to educate students for life. Portside Christian College offers a world-class Early Learning Centre using the Reggio Emilia approach. Our Primary and Middle Years use the Australian curriculum. We offer both SACE and a complete range of trade certificates through our senior students' Trade Training center. Our graduates have completed a wide range of university degrees and trades with positive personal skills to last them a lifetime. It is a privilege to share my school leadership experience, teacher education, and as an Understanding by Design curriculum consultant, and want to apply this to support continuous school improvement. Our purpose as a College is to equip students for life. We believe our task is to help children develop their academic, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual potential by providing a caring and supportive Christian education. All of our teachers are committed Christians who aim to model Christian values and educate our students from a biblical worldview, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and wisdom they need to face life's challenges. This includes helping our students know who they are in God and encouraging them in their relationship with God. Because we know that if our students can leave our College loving God, loving people, and loving life - then no matter what they choose to do, they will make a massive difference in this world.
