Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) is Malaysia's leading University dedicated to creating knowledge in science, engineering, and technology, with a strong emphasis on innovative research and development. The University conducts extensive research activities in collaboration with PETRONAS and other institutions and industries, locally and abroad, on six research focus and niche areas. They are self-sustainable building, transport infrastructure, health analytics, hydrocarbon recovery, contaminant management, and autonomous system. UTP has produced more than 15,000 graduates and currently has an enrolment of over 1,200 foundation students, 6,000 undergraduates, and 1,200 postgraduates from more than 66 countries around the world. The University will assist needy students in applying for financial aid and grants for their studies from various sources, including Dana Pendidikan Negara, state foundations, public agencies, and private companies. Industrial collaborations, combined with our strengths in long-term strategic research, indicate that our research produces exploitable knowledge in addition to support excellence in science. The knowledge is then commercialized to generate wealth hence contributing to the quality of life. UTP is well-equipped to offer multi-disciplinary consultancy services and products with over 300 active in-house consultants. The consultancy unit can provide virtually any sector or industry solutions, from sample testing to short courses to lab services and prototyping. UTP has more than 300 active in-house consultants in the various fields of specialization, and they are well prepared to undertake any sectors from the consultancy services. Apart from the University's expertise, we have also established knowledge partnerships with external parties from within and outside of the country to undertake consultancy services to meet the market demand.
