Welcome to the University of Opole – one of 19 public universities in Poland. Although it seems to be a relatively young university – established in 1994 – it has a long academic tradition since it was founded as a result of joining one of the best Polish pedagogical academies – the Higher Pedagogical College in Opole and Opole branch of the Catholic University in Lublin. Our University comprises eight faculties and several other units, which together form a dynamic, modern, and committed to the highest standards of teaching academic institution. The University of Opole is continually expanding its educational offer and is developing cooperation with academic and business partners both in Poland and abroad. Our students can go on placements and exchanges within the framework of the Erasmus+ program or Europa Master Programme. They can obtain various scholarships and grants and can develop their interests and passions by taking part in a wide range of activities in the fields of science, sport, and culture. School of Polish Language and Culture for Foreigners at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Opole offers courses of Polish language for foreigners and prepares our students for the exams according to the European standards at all levels - Certificate from Bureau for Academic Recognition and International Exchange recognizing the knowledge of Polish as a foreign language. The Opole University of Technology is a modern technical university at the European level. Rich material facilities and educational offers on 24 attractive fields of the study put it in the national lead. Under the supervision of nearly half-a-word staff outstanding, and at the same time like didactics, not only typical technical disciplines are explored here, but also managerial (eg management), medical (physiotherapy) and economic (economics) disciplines, obtaining a diploma that guarantees competitiveness on the national and European labor market. This rich offer is complemented by post-graduate and doctoral studies as well as a selection of courses and training. Students can expand their interests, but also the circle of friends in numerous scientific circles. Nearly 10,000 students study at the Polytechnic, each year we receive almost 4,000 people, and throughout the entire rich history, our walls have left almost 35,000 graduates. View full university
