We are a mixed school in the heart of Northolt. Our students, from diverse backgrounds, form positive relationships characterized by mutual respect across the school. Our curriculum provides numerous opportunities for students to explore their beliefs and to develop values that enable them to become valuable members of the school and wider communities. Older students are given opportunities to act as role models to younger students and this includes mentoring and leadership through a supported Reading Programme. We want our students to be confident, articulate, and socially skilled as well as to have a strong sense of their place in society. Students are supported by a range of staff who are nurturing and skilled in meeting their needs this is why our students make such excellent academic progress during their time with us. Our school vision reflects how we go about our work - we are "committed to excellence" in all that we do. The school community aspires to be excellent in all key areas including academic outcomes the attitude of students towards their learning student behavior and the quality of support offered to students who may need it. Our curriculum offer includes the essential subjects of English, Mathematics, and Science as well as others including Art, Modern Foreign Languages, Drama, and the Humanities. We are a safe and caring community. Our success is based, in part, on the emphasis that we place on knowing each child as an individual and on developing good quality relationships. We welcome families into the school and inform them about all aspects of school life as well as what they can do, in partnership with key staff in the school, to ensure the best outcomes for their child. We value the diversity of the school community that has grown up in recent years and are proud that at least 54 different languages are spoken in the school. We are an inclusive school community and aim to make Northolt High School the school of the first choice within our local community. We are looking forward to an imminent remodeling of the site. Our vision is to create a complex of buildings that are fit to meet the educational needs of our students in the 21st Century and also support the growth of commitment to ongoing learning and recreation to be found within the community.
