ISMT is a private higher university education institution existing for more than 75 years now (we began our activities in 1937), integrated into the Portuguese higher education system by ordinance No. 15/90 of the 9th January. The Institute is also a training organization accredited by the Scientific / Pedagogical Council for Continuous Training (CCPFC), as well as a collective member of the Research Centre for the Study of Population, Economics, and Society (CEPESE), an institution dedicated to scientific research, vocation inter-university. The ISMT still is an associate member of the Portuguese Association of Private Higher Education (APESP), which is an association of non-state higher education institutions. Our mission is to create and disseminate culture and science, as well as to establish conditions for conducting research, always in the perspective of the development of the community and the individual. We have been investing in the qualification of our faculty, as well as in the training of our administrative staff, thus allowing the creation of a body of Professors and employees who are creative, critical, and innovative. Because we want to contribute to the creation of a consistent critical mass, and because we want to constitute an innovative teaching project that can respond to the labor market requirements. And because the new millennium is based on the quality that is our big commitment. We are assured that the ISMT is where the future has already begun. ESAE, through their team and close collaboration with the Coordinations of the various courses, follows the formation of students: Supporting their integration. Contributing to the success of the formative activities. It is part of ESAE the Commission Scientific-Pedagogical of the 2nd cycle, formed by the President of the Scientific Council and the Coordinators of the 2nd cycle courses. Their meetings analyze the scientific policy of the institution and promote conferences and/or other events of a scientific nature for the training of students and to make known abroad its scientific production. El campus de Elche es el municipio elegido por la Universidad Miguel Hernández para expandir su oferta de grados más variada, con multitud de disciplinas que abarcan desde las ciencias sociales y jurídicas a las ingenierías, las ciencias experimentales y las sociosanitarias, incluso el doble Grado en Derecho y Administración y Dirección de Empresas. En este campus se ubica la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas de Elche, la de Ciencias Sociosanitarias y la Facultad de Ciencias Experimentales, así como la Escuela Politécnica Superior de Elche (EPSE). La Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas de este campus de la UMH oferta los grados en Administración y Dirección de Empresas (ADE), Comunicación Audiovisual, Derecho, Estadística Empresarial, Periodismo, Relaciones Laborales y Recursos Humanos, así como el doble grado en ADE y Derecho (DADE). Por su parte, en la Facultad de Ciencias Experimentales se imparte el Grado en Biotecnología y el Grado en Ciencias Ambientales, mientras que la Facultad de Ciencias Sociosanitarias integra los Grados en Psicología y en Ciencias de la Actividad Física y del Deporte (CAFD). La EPSE recoge los grados relacionados con la ingeniería industrial y de telecomunicación.
