We very much welcome parents and carers as partners in their children’s education and work hard to foster positive links between learning at home and school. Longshaw Academy Longshaw Primary Academy is a two-form entry primary school in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, catering for children between the ages of three and eleven. We have places for around 420 pupils plus 40 in Nursery, with a maximum of 30 children per class. At Longshaw Primary Academy we have created a safe and stimulating environment with a positive ethos. We value our community and its diverse cultures and take pride in our children and their ability to achieve. We have very high expectations and work hard to inspire all children to attain their very best and become confident, resilient, and successful individuals. We strongly believe: That children’s life experiences are not an excuse for poor performance. That a child’s history does not determine their future. That every child is expected to achieve at the very least, the national expected standard. That every member of staff plays a key role in developing the experiences children have and are entrusted to promote our highest values. That relationships between children and staff are of the highest quality. Our curriculum is geared toward equipping children for a global contribution. Attendance and punctuality are essential to ensuring that your child gets the most out of their time at school. They are also important life skills that your child will need as they become young adults and enter the world of work. Academy Trusts are constituted as charitable companies limited by guarantee and are registered with Companies House. Because the Academy Trust is both a company and a charity, the Trustees are also Directors, and they, therefore, need to comply with obligations under company and charity law.
