- To ensure a bilingual education of the highest possible standard for all the pupils and education which ensures that every child in the school has the opportunity to grow to be a complete personality, an education which provides the opportunity to develop and exercise the child’s talents. This education is provided in the context of the Welsh culture of which we have the privilege of being part. This education is provided for all pupils at Ysgol Llandysul, taking cognizance of ability, age, and interests. This education will empower the child to be a responsible member of a civilized bilingual society. Ysgol Gynradd Llandysul is located on Llynyfran Road, in the upper part of Llandysul Village. There are 185 pupils registered at the school at present, the majority of the pupils coming from Llandysul itself, however, there are also a large number of pupils that attend the school from outside the official catchment area. There are two floors to the main school building, the infants are located on the ground floor, providing one classroom for each school year. The second floor has four classrooms for the junior department, again one class for each school year. The school places a great emphasis on providing pupils with rich and varied extra-curricular experiences, this is reflected in the school’s success in arts and sporting competitions, locally and on county and national level. The revised Curriculum will be implemented in certain years from September 2008.
