Founded in 1814, the Linsly School is a private, independent day and boarding school for students in grades 5 through 12. Located in Wheeling, West Virginia, we offer college preparatory classes that combine the traditional values of hard work, respect, honor, honesty, and self-discipline within a challenging academic program designed to unlock each student's potential. The Linsly School offers students the opportunity to participate in a variety of fine arts performance groups. The String Orchestra is comprised of talented students from both the middle and upper schools. This group, along with the Stage Band and middle school instrumental instruction, allows Linsly students to display their instrumental talents in various ways. The Linsly Chorus provides vocalists an outlet for their abilities, and our middle school students perform locally throughout the year. Theater arts courses allow students to express themselves, in a classroom setting, as performers or as "behind-the-scenes" assistants.
