Landshut University of Applied Sciences offers 36 Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in its six faculties of Business Administration, Electrical and Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Interdisciplinary Studies, Mechanical Engineering, and Social Work. Our professors impart more than just subject-specific knowledge. They also promote social responsibility and commitment and instruct students in rhetoric and communication. This is because these interdisciplinary skills make it easier for our graduates to enter the world of work. Landshut University of Applied Sciences maintains partnerships with universities and companies worldwide. Our students can gain experience with them on internships or study courses abroad. Our extensive range of language courses provides a strong foundation for this. Light but strong materials, climate-friendly energy systems, optimum production logistics, and social change challenges: at the Landshut University of Applied Sciences, we are developing innovative and modern solutions. We cooperate closely with the industry in the process. We are the University of Excellence for interdisciplinary lifelong learning in engineering, business administration, and social work. We offer our students an excellent, practical range of courses and an attractive study environment. In terms of our key research priorities, we are among the leading universities in Germany. The university's strategy was adopted in 2012 after a strategy process lasting several months and examined and updated in 2014 in a strategy day. As part of the strategic process, in 2011 and 2012, several workshops were held for the comprehensive university management plus two strategy conferences. Almost 90 percent of the professors and managers took part. Students and external parties were also involved in the process. Our modern childcare facility offers 48 pre-school and 28 nursery places. We offer professional supervision for the children of students and employees. Over and above this, spare places are available to children from Landshut. The campuses are located at 6, Bürgermeister Zeiler Street, directly opposite the university. The University of Applied Sciences Landshut offers an attractive environment for innovative research and provides an outstanding infrastructure of modern laboratories and technologies, methods, and competencies. Together with our professors, doctoral candidates, and undergraduates, we work on current social and technological issues and are capable contacts and cooperation partners for companies and institutions from the industry and the non-profit sector. We offer up-and-coming scientists and academics the opportunity to obtain their doctorate in conjunction with national and international partner universities. Studying at Landshut University of Applied Sciences means more than just attending lectures and seminars and learning. All the other trappings of university life go towards making your time as a student successful. There are numerous activities and events on campus that help contribute to the "feelgood factor." A varied leisure and sporting program, festivals, and parties are all organized. Landshut University of Applied Sciences is a compact university where it is quick and easy to get from A to B. The teaching, laboratory, and administrative buildings are grouped around the central campus with the canteen, cafeteria, and library. Currently, the library holds 100,000 volumes, 200 periodicals, more than 145,000 e-books, and many electronic journals. The library stock primarily covers Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, and Social Work. The library also provides access to numerous databases, and as a particular service, Tablets and E-Readers can be borrowed from the library. The library is a central facility of the university and is open to all members. During opening hours, admission is granted to anyone who has an academic interest. Students of the UAS Landshut have automatically registered the student ID card also functions as a library card and acts as a key to the library 24/7. Non-university members need to present their ID-Card to get a library card (free of charge). Cardholders are responsible for all items on a card, all use made of the card, and all charges against it. If your card is lost or stolen, inform the library immediately. Landshut University of Applied Sciences considers that it is a university that provides interdisciplinary and lifelong learning. The teaching that it offers should primarily enable students to acquire specialist technical and professional skills. However, over and above this, they should also gain a grounding in social, reflective, process-related, entrepreneurial, systemic, digital, creative, intercultural, and foreign language skills. Interdisciplinarity is promoted above all by courses in which students from different faculties come together to work on topics and learn from one another through their differing specialist approaches. Alongside the acquisition of purely technical knowledge, in a complex personal and professional environment characterized by constant change, it is enormously essential for students to gain additional skills and, at the same time, develop their personalities.
