Tsuda University is a private institution of higher education for women with a history of more than 110 years since its founding. Tsuda's two colleges and the Graduate School are now located on two campuses. The College of Liberal Arts and the Graduate School are on Kodaira Campus, which is surrounded by greenery and trees while conveniently located in Tokyo's suburbs. The College of Policy Studies and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language graduate program are on Sendagaya Campus. This is located in Tokyo's heart near Shinjuku Gyoen, one of the city's largest and most popular parks. We are proud of our education's high quality and the close relationships between students and faculty members. Over the years, Tsuda University has earned an excellent reputation for producing distinguished alumnae who have contributed to society locally and internationally in various fields. Another characteristic of Tsuda University students is their strong interest in intercultural exchanges. We have exchange programs with 25 institutions in 11 countries: Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, the Philippines, Sweden, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. These programs provide exciting opportunities for students, enabling them to improve their intercultural communication skills and broaden their horizons as global citizens. We are determined to make our exchange programs inspiring and meaningful for both the international students we welcome and our domestic students. We much appreciate your interest in our university. In 2017, Tsuda University set out its strategy for the future under the heading Tsuda Vision 2030. This lays out the university's strategy for developing and enriching higher education for women in a way that responds to the demands of the age while staying true to the spirit of the university's founder, Umeko Tsuda. Tsuda Vision 2030 serves to guide all faculty members by expressing a vision of the type of women society expects us to nurture, the type of education and research the university should offer, and how the university itself should evolve to ensure it can amply meet these expectations through 2030. Tsuda Vision 2030's overarching ideas are expressed in the motto "empowering women to make a difference" and our mission statement. There are five separate visions for our education, our research, our alumnae, our management, and the university itself. Each department will be guided strategically by the visions in formulating a medium-term action plan. These plans should set specific annual targets to ensure that reliable and steady progress is made to achieve the visions and build a thriving future for the university as a relevant and useful educational institution. Since Umeko Tsuda paved the way, thousands of Tsuda University graduates have made a difference, bringing about small, immediate changes in local environments and large transformations with a global impact. In today's world, change is a fashionable word, and people may sometimes feel overwhelmed by the changes taking place around them. Nevertheless, Tsuda University graduates are constant in their efforts to make a difference and create a better society because of the strong sense of duty and responsibility that they have inherited.
