“Excellent teaching, excellent effort, excellent progress: every child, every lesson, every day.” Established in 1815 to educate the children of the local area, Kentish Town Church of England Primary School is a very special place. We believe that each of our children is unique and our aim is for each of them to achieve their full potential. Our school is situated in a diverse community that typically represents London. We value and embrace this diversity. Our school is also highly inclusive, having additional resource bases for the inclusion of up to 6 children with physical disabilities and up to 15 children with autism. We are proud to hold the Camden Award for Inclusion in recognition of our work in this area. With just one class in each year group, children are known individually and we strive to work in close partnership with parents and carers we have an open door policy whereby we welcome parents into the school each morning and afternoon. We are proud to hold the UNICEF Rights Respecting School Award Level 2, placing our children’s views at the center of what we do. Our aim is for their learning experiences to always be fun, challenging, and positive as well as being enriched by the many trips and visits that we can provide. We passionately believe that by living in London, our children should take full advantage of everything it can offer them. Our school is led by a dynamic Leadership and Management Team that strive for excellence in all that we provide for our children. Ofsted acknowledged this during our last inspection, judging Leadership and Behaviour as outstanding. In January 2015 our SIAMS inspection also found our school to be outstanding. As a strategic partner in the Camden Primary Teaching School Alliance, we are committed to training and developing our staff to the highest levels. We are often asked to train and develop staff from other schools through this alliance and by Camden Local Authority and the Diocese of London. There is a commitment to the pursuit of excellence at all levels within our school. Our school is a happy place, where every member of staff does their best for our children. We retain excellent staff for longer than is typical of most inner-city London schools. This level of staff stability supports the very positive relationships that exist within and between the whole school community. Staff stability also supports children’s personal development and well-being. Everyone feels more secure if they have been able to develop and cement firm relationships. We understand what you and your child go through when first starting at primary school or moving from one school to another.
