  1. The German School Hurghada is starting with the Nursery for children from 2 till 4 years, followed by the pre-school for children aged from 4 years on. At the age of 6 years, Primary School is beginning. The deadline for the age is the 30th of September. After that, the students will be arranged according to their past performance. The move up to the higher classes will be decided according to the regulation of the Thüringen ministry of education. In the Egyptian part, there will be the national examination in addition after classes 3, 6, and 9. The final exam after year 12 is the German IB which allows our students access to most universities worldwide. The groups in the pre-school are equipped with German and Egyptian specially trained staff. In a playing atmosphere, the children will be prepared for school. The language of the pre-school is mainly German. Children who do not speak German will learn it in these 2 years and will have an examination after KG 2. German children will get their first words of the Arabic language, children who already speak the two languages can intensify their know-how. English is starting in primary school. In primary school, the teaching of classes 1 to 4 will be according to the regulations of the ministry of education of Thüringen. In all German subjects, the language will be German. The other entire subjects which are regulated by the Egyptian ministry of education will be taught in Arabic. The junior high school contains classes 5 to 10. The subjects will be chosen according to the regulation of the ministry of education of Thuringen. The Egyptian subjects are in addition and obligatory for all Egyptian students, facultative for the German students. After class 6 will be the examination of Ibtedaia, after class 9 the examination of India. With the successfully passed exams, or for the German children with the regular move up, the children will enter class 10. After class 10 the students will do the German secondary I examination. In the senior high school containing classes 11 to 12, the students will be prepared for the GIB (International Baccalaureat) as the final exam, Arabic has to be taken till the final exam. Our Mission Statement: A school, in which children of different nationalities, religions, and cultures meet each other. A school, in which a sense of community, respectful cooperation, and tolerance are lived.
