  1. Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University students are taught full time and by correspondence and may take the externship course at such faculties as automobile, road-construction, mechanical, business and management, transportation systems mechatronics, correspondence, and retraining. Practical training of students is also realized in unique university laboratories, such as the laboratory of race cars, the laboratory of distance learning, which is the part of the Centre of New Information Technologies. There are mobile laboratories for monitoring the technical state of ATS and the quality of road surfaces and others. The Exhibition Center of KhNAHU is established as a mechanism of marketing activity of the university that displays significant scientific and academic achievements of all university departments. All the courses are provided in Russian or Ukrainian. Two courses are given in English - Economy of Enterprise and Automation and Computer-Integrated Technologies. The applicants are enrolled according to the results of the interview. International applicants are supposed to take a test in the Russian language or take Russian at the Preparatory Faculty. At the Preparatory Faculty, international students learn Russian and other subjects (Maths, Physics, Biology, etc.) for ten months. The best conditions are provided to ensure a high quality of language teaching: Well equipped classrooms for groups of 8-10. Computer programs for training and testing. Modern textbooks and workbooks for individual study. Comfortable residence halls, located in the city center not far from the university, with newly renovated double rooms, modern furniture and equipment, internet access, and satellite TV. Recreational activities, including tours, concerts, sports events, various concerts, competitions, and parties. The skilled and experienced teaching staff creates an atmosphere of professionalism combined with rigor standards and ensures a high education level. Computer and Information Centre was created in 1977. Computing machines such as "ES" were the primary technical basis during that period. Since personal computers have replaced 1985 machines such as "ES." At that time, the Computer and Information Centre was involved in developing software and maintaining the educational process, satellite television, creating and developing a local network with access to the Internet. It was also analyzing, testing, and implementing the most promising technical means of training (TMT) based on new types of projectors and computers. Today, 20 projectors are involved in the educational process that allows them to meet departments' needs while delivering lectures and defending diploma projects. In 1995, an information LAN was created, Computer and Information Centre modernizes and expands it. To increase the bandwidth of the network, fiber-optic communication technology has been implemented in some buildings. The fiber-optic network has been laid on the campus and the Faculty of Mechatronics. LAN and a server with a separate line with access to the Internet have been created a Faculty of Mechatronics. To improve the KhNAHU LAN in the building of the Faculty of Foreign Citizens Training, there is a server room that supports internal and external communication channels and provides 24/7 access to the university web-resources, e-mail, and educational portal. Today the university is connected to the Ukrainian Scientific and Educational Network URAN, and MaxNet network with a total bandwidth of 41 Mbit/s.1350 computers operate in the KhNAHU in the 50 computer rooms. All of them have access to the Internet. Today, all types of work on students' personal records, collecting statistical information, managing contingent movement, etc., are automated. One of the main tasks of ACS-University is the creation of automated means of managing the educational process. Implementation of the Dekanat sub-system has made it possible to perform a wide range of tasks related to supporting the educational process. Educational television studio works in the Computer and Information Centre, its stuff shoots and creates films, the latter of which is KhNAHU-2009. The Department of Standardization and Metrology was founded in 1993 based on the standardization office and the chief University metrologist office. The fund of the department regulatory documents (RD) has more than 5100 units and consists of the state standards of Ukraine (SSU), state building codes (SBC), international standards, and standards of the former Soviet Union (GOST). Also, the fund has many industry standards in the automobile industry, standards of Ukraine harmonized with the standards of ISO, EN, IEC, the rules of UN/ECE, etc. The department also receives periodicals, such as the "Standardization, Certification, Quality" magazine. In 2001 the department took first place and was awarded the first degree among all Kharkiv metrological services of scientific and educational institutions. The department converted the regulatory documents into an electronic form that has never been done in Ukraine before. To simplify using standards as reference material, the department is converting the standards onto electronic media. More than 200 standards have already been converted into electronic form. The department provides testing laboratories with advice in their certification or accreditation. It serves teaching staff, students, and technical cooperation, outside organizations and individuals (selection, review of regulative documentation, consultation on standardization, metrology, and certification).

Our inclusive, family ethos underpins a caring, safe environment where values such as self-esteem and mutual respect allow all children and staff to feel confident, happy, and valued. We see all our children as unique individuals and celebrate their diversity. The Highway is a one-form entry, recently rebuilt and refurbished co-educational primary with approximately 220 pupils on roll. In April 2016 we were delighted to gain Academy status and become part of a Multi-Academy Trust known as the South Orpington Learning Alliance (SOLA) with 5 other local schools: Chelsfield Primary, Darrick Wood Junior School, Green St Green Primary, Pratts Bottom Primary, and Tubbenden Primary. As a school, we endeavor to provide the highest standard of education in a safe, supportive, learning environment, where respect and British values are promoted. We pride ourselves on being a happy, caring, welcoming school where the work of all pupils, staff, and parents is highly valued. We adhere to our school mission statement: Everyone matters at The Highway. Our school is set in beautiful, spacious grounds and is very well equipped with excellent resources including interactive whiteboards in every classroom. We have a networked computing suite, additional laptops and iPads, staging and lighting for productions, a dedicated music room, library, and well-qualified, caring teachers. We also value your input, as your child’s first teachers, and your belief in us that we have the best interests of your child at heart. We have an open-door policy so come in and talk to us! We work hard to promote fundamental British values as part of our spiritual, moral, social, and cultural education in a school where we nurture the whole child, not just fulfilling their academic potential but their personal and creative development too.
