- The village of Gwernymynydd lies close to the Clwydian Mountain range which is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On our present site, Godre’r Coed, there has been an Infant School since 1973. Along with the educational thinking of the time, this was an open-plan school catering for the Infant age range. In 1988 the school was extensively re-modeled to accommodate the Junior age pupils from the school on Ruthin Road. This was achieved by building two traditional classrooms together with a general-purpose hall come gymnasium. All the children of Gwernymynydd school receive education of the highest standards in conjunction with the requirements laid down in the National Curriculum. We enjoy extensive grounds situated in a very quiet and peaceful area. We continue to update and improve our indoor and outdoor facilities. Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make and your child is about to take one of the most important steps of their life, as they begin school for the first time.
