  1. The Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno is a major regional university complex in Belarus, integrating all education levels. It is a big-scale scientific center of the region, a classical type university acknowledged by the international community. The Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno provides a variety of activities for students, which aim to consolidate the university community and help our students demonstrate their professional skills and participate in the public life of YKSUG. Our foreign language courses are designed for people with different training levels: from beginners to those who already have some knowledge and want to improve them. You will master English, French, German and Italian with us. The Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno actively cooperates with universities and organizations of neighboring and far-abroad countries, such as Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, China, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Austria, Germany, Finland, Bulgaria, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Norway, Latvia, Moldova, and Sri Lanka, within the framework of more than 140 international cooperation agreements. Staff and students of YKSUG visit foreign universities and organizations to undergo training/internships, share experiences, give lectures, conduct research, and participate in international projects, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, cultural, sporting, and other events. For the first time in 2015, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno held Russian Language Summer School. It brought together 26 participants from 9 countries, Poland, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, and the USA. In addition to the Russian language classes, participants had an opportunity to enjoy fascinating excursions around Grodno and Belarus and also take part in meetings with local artisans who held workshops on traditional folk art for the guests. In 2016 the holding of YKSUG Russian Language Summer School was planned from 1 to 21 August. Grodno State Medical University is the first medical institution of higher education in the Republic of Belarus, where the ISO 9001 Quality Management System was introduced and certified, which complies with the National Quality Management System (СТБ ISO 9001-2009) and with the German Quality Management System (DIN EN 9001-2008). Our University has always implemented and maintained the best traditions of higher medical education. Today the University accords particular importance to the training of highly professional general practitioners. Foreign citizens can study at the preparatory department. Studies are held in Russian or English Languages. The preparatory department's training program aims to learn the subjects necessary for admission to the Republic of Belarus universities. Foreign citizens applying for the 1st year might be interviewed in the following subjects: English/Russian, Biology and Chemistry, or might be admitted according to their Certificates of Secondary education. In case the training is provided in English, the international students are interviewed in the subjects mentioned above in the English language. Grodno State Medical University has one of the biggest medical libraries in the country. It includes over 420000 copies of textbooks as well as various supplementary materials, C.D.s, medical journals, periodicals. The library is connected to the Internet and offers on-line access to the biomedical database, digital catalogs, and also uses up-to-date informational technologies that allow diversifying render services. There are four student hostels next to the main building of the University. They can accommodate 1840 students. Two of the buildings are of flat type, i.e., the attached restroom (bathroom and toilet) and a kitchen. The hostels are centrally heated (air-conditioned). Student hostels are fully furnished. Usually, two or three students share one room. There are separate arrangements for both boys and girls. In the dining room, international students can prepare their national food. Foreign T.V. channels are available as well. The maintenance personnel keep the students' hostels clean daily and make all the students living in the hostel strictly follow the rules and regulations. Our University has always implemented and maintained the best traditions of higher medical education. High-quality training of graduates of Grodno State Medical University has been proved by time. This is confirmed by the great authority of doctors among the population, the appointment of our graduates for managerial positions at different levels of health care organizations, and our physicians' work in major universities and research centers in Europe and all over the world. It is worthy of note that the University trains not only physicians but also researchers and the teaching staff for its own needs. In 1967, M.V. Borysiuk defended his Ph.D. thesis in 1982, N.F. Filippovich – his thesis for a Doctor's degree. In 1996 L.M. Lobanok was elected an associate member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In 1976 V.P. Andreev was appointed head of the Department of Biology; in 1987 - the I.P. Protasiewicz was appointed dean; in 1987, M.V. Borysiuk became vice-rector for scientific work, in 1998 P.V. Garelik was the rector. Since 2010, the graduate of the GrSMU V.A. Snezhitskiy is the rector.   3. Educational Establishment "Grodno State Agrarian University" is the largest educational and scientific center of the Western region of Belarus. It was founded in 1951. More than 26,000 specialists have already graduated from the University, and about 50,000 managers and experts of the agro-industrial sector got their professional development and fulfilled the retraining and qualification improvement courses here. To come to the Republic of Belarus, foreign applicants have to get an invitation to study (for citizens with visa regime). To get an invitation to study, you have to provide documents as follows: Translation copies (in case the documents are not in Russian) of the documents with supplements of the studied subjects and the marks given (secondary education certificate/higher education diploma and its supplements) Passport copy valid for the time of studies with the translation into the Russian language (in case the document is not in Russian). The Educational Institution "Grodno State Agrarian University" offers international students the training programs of pre-University preparation (Preparatory Department), principal (I stage of higher education, bachelor's degree), and postgraduate (Master and Ph.D. programs) education. At present, the University trains specialists at eight faculties and in 11 specialties of agricultural, engineering, technological, and economic profiles. Innovative methods and educational technologies (new information bases) are used here. Grodno State Agrarian University carries out several joint educational and research projects, thus providing the University scientists, teachers, and students with a unique opportunity to experience and scientific information exchange. The geography of the partner universities and research centers is quite extensive. We cooperate with agro-industrial and educational institutions of England, Germany, Denmark, Holland, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Finland, Switzerland, etc. More than 340 teachers work at the 32 university chairs. Over 50% of the academic staff has scientific degrees of Candidate of sciences or Doctor of sciences. About 8000 young people study at Grodno State Agrarian University today. The University created excellent conditions for continuous and second higher education. The Agrarian University trains academic personnel of high qualification. We offer magistracy, postgraduate and doctoral studies. The Dissertation Defense Council works successfully here. There are six educational buildings, seven hostels, a canteen, a stadium rest center, a library, a museum and a sports club at the University. The students take an active part in the circles of amateur art activities, in various festivals. There is publishing - polygraphed department, were textbooks, methodical and training appliances, working exercise books are published. The students of senior courses do practical work on the Republic of Belarus' best farms and in 8 European countries. The students have got favorable conditions for sports skills at the University. During studies, 43 students have performed the standard of "Master of Sport of the USSR", five students - "Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus". Among graduates are champions of the world, the Europe of the USSR and the Republic of Belarus. The newspaper headed "The Uniagro" is published monthly at the University. The minimum cost of renting an apartment in Grodno is $200 a month. The primary purpose of the ideological and educational work is to bring up young people the fundamental values, ideas, beliefs, reflecting the essence of the Belarusian statehood and promoting active, civic, and personal positions during the educational process. Since 1995 at the head of the University is its graduating student, an Associate Member of National Academy of Sciences, a Doctor of agricultural sciences, Professor Pestis Vitold Kazimirovitch. On November 21, 2001, he was awarded the rank of a "Honored worker of education of the Republic of Belarus". The priority direction of the present-day educational work of the University is to develop civic maturity, social optimism, careful and objective reality accession in students, enabling every young person to feel social, morally, politically, and legally protected. It is worthy of note that the University trains not only physicians but also researchers and the teaching staff for its own needs. In 1967, M.V. Borysiuk defended his Ph.D. thesis in 1982, N.F. Filippovich – his thesis for a Doctor's degree. In 1996 L.M. Lobanok was elected an associate member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. In 1976 V.P. Andreev was appointed head of the Department of Biology; in 1987 - the I.P. Protasiewicz was appointed dean; in 1987, M.V. Borysiuk became vice-rector for scientific work, in 1998 P.V. Garelik was the rector. Since 2010, the graduate of the GrSMU V.A. Snezhitskiy is the rector. In 2015, he was elected an associate member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus. Since 1993 monthly magazine "Aesculapius" has been published at the University. In 2003 the University started the publication of a quarterly medical magazine. In 2000 the University Charter and Emblem were approved and in 2006 – the University Anthem. In 2000 the honorable title "Doctor honoris causa of Grodno State Medical University" has been introduced. It was given to Metropolitan Filaret and scientists from Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, and Germany. Prominent figures from the government and the fields of science and culture, international ambassadors often visit our University. World-renowned scientists give lectures to the students and teaching staff from time to time. Grodno State Medical University is the first medical institution of higher education in the Republic of Belarus, where the ISO 9001 Quality Management System was introduced and certified, which complies with the National Quality Management System (СТБ ISO 9001-2009) and with the German Quality Management System (DIN EN 9001-2008). Since 2010 GrSMU offers master's level programs. In 2011 GrSMU was awarded the Prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achievements in the field of quality. The last five years have been fruitful for our University.In 2012 GrSMU was accredited as a scientific organization. Our library's website became the winner of the CIS competition among sites of medical libraries "TopMed". In 2013 the laboratory of the molecular genetic investigation was opened. GrSMU became the winner of the competition "Brand of the Year - 2013" in the nomination "Science and Education". The first in Belarus medical laboratory for practical training was opened. Anatomical exposition "Grodno cabinet of curiosities" resumed its work. The University was awarded the Certificate of Merit from Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus for its significant contribution to implementing the government social policy and training of highly qualified medical professionals. In 2014, the University was included in the list of the best universities of the CIS countries and the top 500 best universities in the world rankings as a result of Worldwide Professional University Rankings RankPro (rating of the International Council of Scientists). In 2015, Professor Advisory Centre moved to the renovated building. Refresher courses in 5 specialties were organized. An electronic record of students' academic performance was introduced. GrSMU magazine is indexed in 14 international databases. The electronic version of the magazine was given the international serial number. The cooperation agreement with the Russian Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (VINITI RAS) was signed.   6. The Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno is a major regional university complex in Belarus, integrating all education levels. In addition to the Russian language classes, participants had an opportunity to enjoy fascinating excursions around Grodno and Belarus and also take part in meetings with local artisans who held workshops on traditional folk art for the guests. In 2016 the holding of YKSUG Russian Language Summer School was planned from 1 to 21 August.
