  1. Located in the beautiful seaside town of El Gouna on the Red Sea coast of Egypt, El Gouna International School caters to the children of a diverse international community. EGIS offers the British International Curriculum, the German DSD Programme, and the Egyptian National Curriculum. We accept children from three and a half years of age, in Foundation One, and offer comprehensive education through to IGCSE and A levels. Levels can be offered depending on demand. El Gouna International School was established in 1998. From its humble beginnings, with an initial intake of 33 students, the School has grown to 600 students with 240 in the British International School and 360 children in the English Language School. The two sections of El Gouna International School thrive under one umbrella. Both sections join together regularly for extra-curricular activities and major events and both have the opportunity to study the German DSD program. Recently EGIS has come under the management of the BCCIS group, a dynamic, growing educational organization that is building greater capacity into the School in every area. As a result, EGIS is receiving management and academic support whilst an energetic program of facilities enhancement is in full swing. The International section of the School is a member of the BSME (British Schools of the Middle East) an organization mandated by the British Government and committed to providing quality assurance to British curriculum schools across the region. We are also accredited as an examinations center by the British Council, offering Edexcel and Cambridge IGCSE's and AS levels. Our overarching aim is to offer quality academic instruction and pastoral care in a secure and supportive environment that will provide for a fulfilling educational experience. Together with our Egyptian students, many other cultures and nations are represented including Britain, France, Germany, USA, Japan, Korea, Russia, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, and Holland, amongst others. It is in a spirit of inclusiveness that we aim to nurture children, providing them with the educational and social experiences that will enable them to become leaders in their future spheres of influence and contributors to society. EGIS offers instruction in English for children aged three and a half and over with a wide range of abilities, without discrimination on the grounds of sex, religion, race, or parents’ employment. We believe personal development plays a significant role in academic success and therefore aim to educate the whole child. We are determined to educate young people for life in the 21st century.
